What questions would you have for Speaker Burrows? I know I would have quite a few. Get in touch with your local party officials and make your feelings known. They will be representing Upshur County at the State Convention. Get involved; get educated.

For only the second time in Texas history, the sitting Speaker of the Texas House will address delegates at our State Convention.

Speaker Burrows is also stepping forward as a sponsor of the convention as well. That has never happened before.

Before Speaker Burrows held office, he was a delegate and a precinct chair.

He’s sat in those same seats, had those same conversations, and understands exactly what it means to show up and help shape the future of Texas.

We are grateful for his willingness to not only support this convention, but to be part of it in a way that respects and recognizes the delegates who make this party strong.

We look forward to welcoming Speaker Burrows to the 2026 Texas Republican Convention and to a historic moment for our party and our state.

Easter may be over, but the real reason we celebrate never ends.

This weekend, the baskets were emptied, the chocolate bunnies disappeared, and the egg hunts came to a close. But let’s not forget what Easter is truly about: Jesus Christ, who conquered death so that we could have eternal life.

In a world full of distractions, let’s make sure our kids know the real story — not just the fun traditions, but the powerful truth of a risen Savior who loves them.

This is the perfect time to keep talking about Jesus with our children. His love, His sacrifice, and His resurrection are the greatest gifts we can ever share with them.
