ਭਾਰਤ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ Transnational Repression ਨਾਲ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੀ ਸੈਨੇਟ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੈਂਬਲੀ ਨੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀਆਂ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਤਾਕਤਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਕਾਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ SB 509 ਬਿੱਲ ਪਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਹ ਬਿੱਲ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਖਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ’ਚ ਹੈ, ਸਿੱਖ ਲੀਡਰ ਹਰਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਿਜਰ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ Law Enforcement ਨੂੰ ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਵੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਕੈਲੀਫੋਰਨੀਆ ’ਚ ਹਾਲੇ ਤੱਕ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ 700 ਜਾਂ ਇਸ ਤੋ ਕੁੱਝ ਵੱਧ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ ਪਟੀਸ਼ਨ ’ਤੇ ਸਾਈਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦਕਿ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਹਿੰਦੂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੀਟੋ ਦਬਾਅ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ, ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਿੱਲ ਦਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਬਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਧੋਖੇ ਨੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਏਕਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਮੁਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਜਨਮ ਭੋਇੰ ਦੀ ਛੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਰਸ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਕਰੋੜ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਰੋਸ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਸਮੇਂ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕੀ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੇ ਧਮਕੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵੇਗੀ। ਸੰਤ ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਭੜਕਾਊ ਬਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਣੌਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਅੱਜ ਬਾਦਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਜਰੀਵਾਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਨੇਤਾ “ਸਾਰੇ ਭਈਏ ਮਾੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ” ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰਾ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਿਰਤਾਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਦੱਸ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ। ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਪਛਾਣ ਕੇ ਇਕਜੁਟ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।
