I left my Miami apartment for a house in Austin with my boys.
and honestly? it's the best decision I've made as an entrepreneur.
I was paying $2k/mo to live in a high rise in Miami. sounds sick right? nah. high cortisol, constantly surrounded by dudes who lease Lambos and sell you on "the lifestyle" but are secretly broke. looked good on paper but something was just... off.
moved to Austin. $1,200/mo. way more space. and I wake up every morning and walk into the living room and my best friends are already locked in, building. ๐
that's the part nobody tells you about entrepreneurship โ the flex is a trap. the penthouse, the Miami zip code, the "I made it" aesthetic... it's a hamster wheel that just looks expensive.
real wealth to me is paying less to live better. it's being around people who are actually on the same mission. it's choosing substance over whatever story you think you need to tell strangers on the internet. ๐ฏ
if you're a young entrepreneur reading this: go find 2-3 people who are locked in on the same thing you are. move in together. build together. that one decision will do more for your growth than any course or city ever will.
