Nothing beats a good shop reset. 🧹🔧

The JK front axle truss is burned in, wrapped up, and cooling — and now the shop is finally back in order. There’s something about sweeping the floor, putting tools back where they belong, and standing back to look at a clean workspace that just hits different.

For us, a clean shop at the end of a job is part of the build. It means the work is done right, the welds are solid, and we can roll into the next phase with a clear head and a fresh slate.

Job wrapped. Shop reset. On to the next one.

JK Front Axle Truss — Built Once, Built Right 💪

This upgrade may not turn heads at first glance, but it’s one of the most important mods we’ve done to the JK so far.

Bent tubes, cracked inner Cs, and weak housings are a known JK problem once you start pushing them harder. Even though this Jeep isn’t headed for full Ultra4 abuse, strength and reliability matter to us — especially in steering and suspension.

We stripped the axle down, prepped it properly, mocked everything up, and burned in a Barnes 4x4 truss step by step. Short side first, then the long side, tying in the inner C and fully linking both sides to prevent tube rotation and housing flex.

No rush jobs here — controlled heat, welded in stages, wrapped the housing, and let it cool slow to keep everything straight and true. Clean welds, solid structure, no shortcuts.

By the end of the night, the truss was fully welded and cooling, leaving us with a much stronger front axle that’s ready for trails, daily duty, and whatever “mall parking lot obstacles” come next 😎

If you’re on the fence about trussing a JK axle — this is one mod we’d recommend every time.

Front axle prep is officially done on the JK 💪
All sanded down and primed, ready for what matters next — burning in the truss 🔥

Slow, steady progress in the shop, but this is one of those steps you don’t rush. Stay tuned… it’s about to get loud.

Progress is progress… even when the welder taps out before we do 😅

We got the JK front axle truss mocked up and started burning it in tonight, but turns out we should’ve checked how much welding wire was left first. Oops.

No big deal — we’ll grab more wire in the morning and finish it up. One step closer to a bomb-proof front end for the Queen Bee JK 🐝💪

Stay tuned… sparks will fly again soon.
