‼️Save this if you're a veteran family

We get asked a lot how we afford RV life and full-time travel with kids.

For our family, saving money comes down to being intentional, budgeting carefully, and using veteran and military benefits that are available to us. From campground discounts to state parks, healthcare options, and verified veteran programs, these savings make a real difference when you live on the road.

This lifestyle isn’t free and it isn’t effortless, but for many veteran families, full-time travel and RV life can be a practical option when you understand the budget side and know where to look for support.

If you’re a veteran or military family curious about RV life, full-time travel, or saving money while traveling, save this for later and share it with someone who might need it.

Water damage can total your RV!

[Ad] After 4 years of full-time RV travel, we've learned that preventative maintenance is key to avoiding many major repairs.

Water damage is one of the last things any RV owner wants to deal with, which is why we replaced our worn slide seals before they had the chance to fail.

We chose Steele Rubber Products because they carry a huge selection of replacement slide seals, weatherstripping, and other rubber parts for RVs and vehicles of all ages, making it easy to find the right fit for your rig.

A few things that stood out to us:
✔️ Direct-fit replacement seals designed from original profiles
✔️ Durable 100% EPDM rubber built to resist UV exposure, weather, and everyday wear
✔️ Parts available in pre-cut lengths or by the foot
✔️ Helpful resources like catalogs, sample packs, and knowledgeable in-house customer service if you're not sure what you need

Before your next trip, take a few minutes to inspect your slide seals. It could save you a whole lot of money and headaches down the road.

Have you ever replaced your slide seals?

I'm not saying everyone should homeschool their kids or sell everything and move into an RV.

But I do think we've built lives that leave very little room to simply be together.

Four years ago, we decided to trade a packed schedule for a slower one. Not because we wanted to escape real life, but because we wanted more of it.

More conversations around the campfire. More afternoons with nowhere to be. More adventures that don't have to fit into a long weekend.

If you're craving a slower, more intentional way of doing family life, I think you'll feel at home here.

This isn't about raising kids who think full-time travel is the only way to live.

It's about raising kids who know they have choices.

Whether they settle down in one town, move across the country, travel the world, start a business, or do something completely different...

I hope they never feel boxed in by the idea that there's only one path they're "supposed" to follow.

I hope they never feel constrained by what is "normal" to everyone else.

That's the real gift I hope this lifestyle gives them.

Me, after choosing one of the most popular national parks in America during peak season:
"Wow, there are a lot of people here."

Raise your hand if you've ever:
✔️ complained about crowds while contributing to them
✔️ wanted a national park all to yourself
✔️ planned a trip based on photos taken at sunrise and edited out everyone else

I know I'm not the only one 🤣

We travel full-time in an RV with 3 kids, a budget, and very realistic expectations. Follow along. ❤️

Glenwood Caverns is unlike any other theme park we've visited [hosted].

But the caves are what make it truly special.

One thing I didn't realize before visiting is that there are two different cave tours, and they're each worth experiencing.

🪨 King's Row has 120 stairs leading through massive underground chambers, including The Barn.

✨ Fairy Cave has a completely different feel, with narrower passageways, connecting doorways, and beautifully decorated formations that have been growing for millions of years. It ended up being our kids' favorite.

A few tips if you go:
✔️ Bring a light layer: it stays cool underground, even on hot summer days.
✔️ If you have time, do both tours. They're completely different experiences.
✔️ Book your tickets online ahead of time to save. You can choose the option that fits your day, whether that's the full park experience, a gondola and cave tour, or a scenic gondola ride.

If you missed Part 1, go check it out to see everything waiting above the mountain. Then book your stay at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

There are theme parks... and then there's this.

A theme park on top of a mountain, where you ride a gondola just to get there, spend the day surrounded by incredible canyon views, and find attractions that keep everyone in the family happy [hosted].

🎢 Thrill rides
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family rides
🎯 Laser tag
🎬 4D theater
🍔 Lunch with a view
🍦 Ice cream breaks
🏔️ And an Alpine Coaster we loved so much, we rode it three times.

If you're planning a Colorado road trip, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park deserves a spot on your itinerary.

But here's the thing...The rides aren't even what make this place the most unique.

Come back this week for Part 2, where I'll show you what's hidden underneath the mountain, and trust me, it's worth it 👀
