Sorry we haven't posted in a while. We are "on the air," but our signal doesn't reach very far past Glidden, so there hasn't been much news to tell. We have tried 3 or 4 times to set the new tower and boost our signal. Unfortunately, every date we set we ended up with a ton of rain and the crane couldn't get into the tower site. We will try again around Aug 4, 2025. Please pray for good weather, safety for the work crew, and our continued learning of radio station operation. Thanks!

Update and prayer request. A week from now the tower crew arrives to set up the 80 ft tower. We will then move from the current 40 foot pole with a single antenna to the new tower with a 3 bay antenna array. We will also boost our transmitter power from 250 watts to (if Pastor understands correctly) 3000 watts. Please pray that the weather cooperates, for safety, and that all the details come together perfectly. Thanks!

Good News! KSHW is back on the air. We still aren't sure what happened but it was a setting of some sort. We're just thankful to be back on!

Not sure what happened but during the blizzard yesterday KSHW went off the air. We are still trying to determine the cause. Everything we have checked tells us that the system is supposed to be working properly but we are only broadcasting dead air at this time. Please be patient as we try to correct this. Thanks!

We did some driving and this afternoon/evening our signal was reaching about 12 to 15 miles out. Many things can affect the signal and cause it to vary from time to time. A huge determination is the weather. If you get a chance tune in to 88.3 FM and tell us where you are and how the signal strength is. Thanks!

01/25/2025

Join us in praising God and celebrating the good news that KSHW is now on the air. You will find us at 88.3 FM. We'll be driving around and checking later this afternoon to get a general idea as to how far our signal reaches. "Stay tuned for further updates!"

Latest news (1/23/25): The cable (coax) arrived today. The tech is scheduled to arrive Friday night and work on the antenna this Saturday. Please pray that everything comes together, that the work goes as planned, and that we will be "on the air" next week.

01/22/2025

Exciting news tonight! If everything goes according to plan, the antenna tech will be here Friday to put up the antenna. We are still waiting on delivery of a cable he needs (it was supposed to be here already) and then we are good to go! Keep praying and watching for more updates.

THANKS to everyone who liked and followed our KSHW page! I'm (Pastor Rick) trying hard to keep things updated and let you know what is going on with the Station. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

01/20/2025

We can hear in the studio what will eventually be broadcast once the antenna is up and connected. Pastor Rick was listening this afternoon and heard our station ID. It was exciting as well as a confirmation that we are very close to being on the air! Pray that the weather warms up and gives a window to get the antenna up and connected.

Thanks to everyone who prayed! The contractor was able to come today and set the pole. A special thanks to Joe Subbert and Subbert Construction for their willingness to take the time to do the work right away. Next prayer request - another good weather day for the antenna tech to come and mount the antenna. Then we are ready to go "on the air!"
