I had the pleasure of sitting down last week with Tom Ridder, Superintendent of Glidden-Ralston and Tony Napierala, High School Principal, to talk about the newly approved four-day school week schedule.

They shared what this change means for students, families, staff, and our community including next steps, timelines and important details you won’t want to miss.

This Sunday at the Glidden American Legion! Drive through or dine in for a Pancake Breakfast from 8 AM - 1 PM. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage for a free-will donation. Come enjoy a great meal and support the members who support our community and veterans year-round!

After attending last night’s community discussion at the G-R School regarding the proposed four-day school week, it was clear there are many thoughts, questions and viewpoints within our community about how this proposal could impact the school district and the community as a whole.

The Glidden Graphic would like to offer space for community voices through Letters to the Editor related to this topic. We welcome submissions from parents, students, teachers, staff and community members, whether you are supportive, have concerns, or simply have questions you’d like to share.

🎄🌟 Holiday Happenings in Glidden! 🌟🎄Tonight at 5:00 PM the annual Tree Lighting will take place downtown on Idaho Street. And don’t forget this Sunday from 4:00-7:00 PM, will be the Winter Wonderland at the fire station. ❄️🚒 There’ll be fun for all ages! Come join the festive cheer, lights and community spirit. Hope to see you there!
