What I found thrifting this week… what came home… what I left behind… and what I regret leaving on the shelf 😬

I found this gorgeous vintage gold frame with linen mat and a pretty floral print inside for $14.99.

I actually bought this to sell, even though I loved the frame! It’s a Framed Musee du Louvre Chalcographie Jacques Vauquer Vase of Flowers Etching and can go for around $150.

My oldest daughter, is into fashion and loves unique pieces. I saw this pair of shorts and thought they’d be perfect for her this fall! I don’t know how she will style them, but I pictured them with a pair of tall brown boots and a fitted cream top. They were so cute!

I picked up this antique copper cauldron with forged iron handle for $8.99. And another video I asked you all whether I should sell or keep it. I bought it to Cell but once I styled it for photos sided, I couldn’t possibly let it go so currently it sits on my coffee table. 😂

I got super excited when I spotted these copper ladles with forged iron handled. It was only $8.99 and then I literally squealed when I discovered two more that nest inside of it for a complete set! Each ladle was $8.99. These gorgeous, antique ladles, make gorgeous kitchen decor, and I loved the story and layer look that he gives. I’m still undecided whether to keep our cell… What would you do?

I purchased this antique wood planer for $14.99. It still had the auction tag on it from an antique auction. I plan on listing this on eBay as it looks like it can go for a decent amount, so I plan to resell it.

This little glass lamp was so cute! I’m sure many of you would’ve brought her home, especially for $7.99, but I have no place for her so I left her behind.

FYI… All of our local Goodwill‘s have out last year‘s TJ Maxx, and HomeGoods items!

I picked up this cute little package of bat napkins as they plan to stock them away for Halloween entertaining in October. I also loved this woven witch hat with the scalloped rim! I have something quite similar though, so I left this behind.

This trunk was super cool! However, even with the markdown, I felt it was overpriced. What do you think?

Cute Vera Bradley bag in great condition for $14.99. D

Coffee, a little time at home, and slowly adding a few fall touches around the house. There’s just something about changing up the front door that makes me so excited for the season ahead. 🍂

I’m not ready to go full fall quite yet… but I’m definitely getting there.

When do you start decorating for fall? early, or do you make yourself wait until September?

When school starts back up, the fall itch starts to creep in… 🍂

There’s just something about this time of year that makes home feel extra cozy. I’m easing into it slowly this year… emphasis on slowly.

🤎 When do you start decorating for fall? Are you already there or are you making yourself wait?

Our lower level at the mountain house has always been the hardest space to keep comfortable. In the summer, the bedroom never seems to cool down enough, and in the winter, it’s the first room to feel freezing. We were constantly trying to find a solution that worked year-round. That’s why the SKYX Plug & Play Turbo Fan + Heater from 1stoplighting has been such a game changer!

Instead of needing separate solutions for every season, we now have one fixture that helps cool the room in the summer and warm it up in the winter. What I love most is how easy it was to install. Thanks to the SKYX Platforms Plug & Play system, it installs into an existing light fixture in just minutes… no complicated wiring or electrician needed! It’s one of those upgrades that makes you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

Have you ever had that one room in your home that’s impossible to keep comfortable?

My husband called this purchase “stupid.” 😂
To be clear, he was referring to the purchase… not me. He’s not mean, I promise!

But listen… were those giant collagen + creatine containers sitting on my pretty coffee bar exactly what I wanted to look at every morning? No.

Did these pretty little canisters solve a completely unnecessary problem that I was very happy to solve? Yes.

And now everything looks so much better, so I’m calling it a win!!

Happy wife, happy life. 😉🤍

Tell me I’m not the only one who will spend money to make the everyday things prettier!

There’s something about the end of summer that always makes me pause. 🤎

Every year, I find myself thinking about all the things I meant to do… the slow mornings, the long afternoons, the little adventures, the memories I thought we’d have more time to make. And somehow, summer slips by before I feel like I’ve finished soaking it all in.

Time really does move too quickly.

And while the start of school brings its own little wave of anxiety… new routines, early mornings, and watching our kids navigate friendships, grades, and all the things that come with growing up… I’m also finding myself ready for what comes next.

The cozy colors. The chunky textures. The soft light. The warm, inviting aromas coming from the kitchen. The slower days and earlier evenings at home.

So here’s to holding onto the last little pieces of summer… while making room for Fall.

And a gentle reminder (especially to myself) that we don’t have to do all the things, but simply present for the ones that matter. 🤎
