This is for the women who carry quiet strength,
who rise from pain,
and who choose to turn their story into a light for others.

An elderly woman was nearly sexually assaulted in broad daylight near 6th & Montana in Santa Monica. Thankfully, she screamed, drawing attention and helping police quickly arrest the attacker.

Crimes like this are a reminder: predators target vulnerability. This is why we talk about awareness, prevention, and community.

The #1 self-defense rule that could save your life? Follow the Rules of Stupid.
Most bad situations don’t happen out of nowhere, they build up from a string of bad choices or risky situations. Awareness and common sense are your first line of defense.

👣 Stay out of places and situations that give you that gut feeling.
🧠 Think ahead before you go.
👥 Surround yourself with people who make you feel safe.

Stay smart. Stay safe.

Two recent stories involved women who trusted men posing as authority figures—one claimed to be a fire inspector, the other pretended to be part of search and rescue. Both ended in assault.

Choosing to carry a tool, whether it’s pepper spray, a knife, or a firearm is a step toward personal safety. But carrying alone isn’t enough.
You must train with it.

💥 Know how to use it effectively.
🧠 Know when to use it, legally and ethically.
📚 Understand your state laws, especially when it comes to deadly force.

Confidence comes from preparation. And preparation comes from training.
Let’s be smart. Let’s be ready. 💪

Just because you can open carry, doesn’t mean you should.

I fully support the right to open carry but it’s not how I choose to carry. Here’s why:

🛑 When your firearm is visible, you're a walking target.
🎯 In an active shooter situation, guess who gets taken out first? The visible threat.
🤫 I prefer to be the element of surprise. No one needs to know I’m armed. That’s the point.

This recent incident is a powerful reminder of why concealed carry offers a serious tactical advantage.

👉 If you’re thinking about carrying, get your concealed carry permit. Train. Stay alert. Carry smart.

Predators often groom by using charm, flattery, or manipulation to earn trust. But your instincts? They’re your first line of defense. If something feels off, it probably is.

Trust your gut. You don’t owe anyone your comfort, your time, or your silence.
