Classic Country Saturday Night A locally syndicated radio show that is music intensive spanning over five decades of classic country music. Faith and Patriotism are core values.

Spotlight features include artist interviews, historical milestones, and current events in country music. I have been a fan of country music since I began a radio career back in 1986. However, it went back further than that when I remember listening to country radio as a child and playing with the record player pretending to be a DJ. I am currently a real estate agent and feed my passion on the weekends. I am married to a wonderful wife, Bethany, and have a son, Austin.

Just like the song "You Can make Old Friends"... the world was brought back to a sense of normalcy today listening to Jeannie Seely back in the air-chair with Sunday's With Seely on Willie's Roadhouse. Welcome back to an "old friend" with reference to long time, that is.

Just saw the sad news... Posted from a personal friend, Ron Harman, that Helen Cornelius passed away... Helen was known from several duet songs she sang with Jim Ed Brown that were regular features on my Classic Country Saturday Night radio show.
She truly is a grand lady and a classic country treasure that left her indelible American country music. She will be truly missed. Helen Cornelius was 83 years old.
Rest easy, Helen...

Helen Cornelius (born Helen Lorene Johnson; December 6, 1941)[1] is an American country singer-songwriter, best remembered for a series of hit duets with Jim Ed Brown, many of which reached the U.S. country singles top ten during the late 1970s and early 1980s.

Never forgotten... To we remember the birthdate of Grand Ole Opry star Del Reeves, born on this date in 1933 from Sparta, NC...
Remember when he was part of an Opry package show in 1997 in Mebane, NC... That when this picture was taken backstage....
Let's all sing a little "Doodle do do do" in his memory...

Franklin Delano Reeves (July 14, 1932 – January 1, 2007)[1] was an American country music singer, best known for his "girl-watching" novelty songs of the 1960s including "Girl on the Billboard" and "The Belles of Southern Bell". He is also known for his 1968 trucker's anthem, "Looking at the World Through a Windshield", which demonstrated he was capable of more than just novelty songs. He became one of the most successful male country singers of the 1960s, becoming a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1966 and remaining a regular performer for 40 years, until his death.

I found it! Please forgive the technical visual deficiency for lack of auto rotate. I wanted to share this heartfelt video moment backstage of the Grand Ole Opry July 9th, 2023. It was one year before Rusty Golden passed away unexpectedly. I was honored to meet with William Lee Golden William Lee Golden and The Goldens And captured a special memory for my Classic Country Saturday Night radio show.
I asked Chris Golden and Rusty Golden To share a special youthful memory outside of the music business. What a great tribute to their father, William Lee Golden standing there in the dressing room, listening proudly to his son's reflect on an early childhood memory.
I hope you enjoy as much as I cherish this memory. The Goldens William Lee Golden Simone De Golden Elizabeth Golden

I have to share this precious memory. Our Classic Country Fan Trip To Nashville group got to see William Lee Golden and The Goldens with Rusty that very night perform on the Grand Ole Opry stage and have The Goldens as featured artists for our VIP Private Party .
What a great memory 2 years ago on July 10th, 2022.

It was a year ago today, while on our Classic Country Fan Trip To Nashville , my heart literally broke at the news that Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys had passed away. I have always maintained that the Oaks have always been my favorite country group.
Never an unkind word or thought was ever directed at Joe Bonsall. He was a perfect gentleman.
I have been truly blessed to have featured interviews, stories, and experiences which are now cherished memories.
The video shared here was one of his last performances from November 2023.
Rest easy Joe Bonsall.
