Introducing Author Lisa Viles 🌿

Lisa Viles is not writing from a place of certainty, she’s writing from the in-between.

“I am no longer who I was, but I am not yet who I am becoming. I’m just… somewhere in between.”

A visionary, creator, and founder, Lisa is building more than just one path, she is building an ecosystem of purpose-driven work rooted in legacy, growth, and impact.

She carries forward Virginia Viles Services, a 40-year legacy established by her mother, dedicated to supporting Public Housing Authorities through compliance and guidance.

At the same time, she is working on a few other projects and developments behind the scenes but taking her time and letting them root before being seen.

And through it all, she created Marigold Studios, a space dedicated to helping others find their voice, tell their stories, and realize they are not alone.

But behind the vision, the structure, and the momentum… is a woman navigating one of the most profound seasons of her life.

After experiencing overwhelming loss, her grandmother, her mother, pregnancies, relationships, stability, and nearly herself, Lisa continued to show up. She carried everything. She held it together. She kept going.

Even when she was exhausted.

Even when she felt unseen.

Even when she didn’t recognize who she was anymore.

“I’ve spent so much of my life being ‘the strong one’… but the truth is, that was a mask. I don’t always want to be strong. I want to be soft. I want to rest. I want to just… be.”

Her writing was born from that space.

Not from perfection, but from processing.
Not from having the answers, but from asking the questions most people are afraid to face.

Lisa writes for those who feel unseen, unheard, and misunderstood. For those navigating identity, relationships, grief, and the quiet internal battles no one else can see.

Her work explores the tension between perception and truth, between who we are, who we’ve been, and who we are becoming.

Introducing Author Stone Taylor

Raised in Keller, Texas, Stone Taylor grew up immersed in science fiction, captivated by stories like *Back to the Future*, *Doctor Who*, *Red Dwarf*, and *7 Days*. From an early age, storytelling sparked his imagination, leading him to experiment with writing even as a teenager, crafting imaginative (and often chaotic) stories inspired by time travel and alternate realities.

His journey took a deeper turn through his time in the military, where traveling across the world exposed him to diverse cultures and perspectives. These experiences reshaped his understanding of life, giving him a profound appreciation for how vast the world truly is and how small our individual experiences can feel in comparison.

In 2023, after the loss of his grandmother, Stone experienced a pivotal “tower moment” that changed everything. What followed was a period of reflection, grief, and personal unraveling that ultimately became the foundation for his writing. What began as a way to process loss quickly evolved into a powerful creative outlet, giving voice to stories rooted in emotion, introspection, and transformation.

Stone’s writing is deeply personal, often born from themes of grief, trauma, and self-discovery, yet grounded in the goal of simply telling a story people can connect with and enjoy. His debut short story, *Sector Echo*, holds a special place as his first published work, inspired by late nights watching classic *Twilight Zone* episodes and exploring the unknown through research and imagination.

His upcoming work, *Off the Rails*, is perhaps his most raw and revealing yet, a reflection of the months following his grandmother’s passing, where he found himself disconnected, struggling internally, and ultimately confronting parts of himself he didn’t realize he had lost along the way.

Outside of writing, Stone is passionate about rugby, film, and life’s simple, freeing moments, like late-night drives in his Jeep with the music loud and the world quiet. Whether he’s quoting his favorite shows, spending time with family, or chasing inspiration wherever it leads, his perspective remains grounded in curiosity, resilience, and a deep sense of wonder.

Describing himself as insubordinate, wanderlust-driven, and passionate, Stone Taylor is an emerging voice in storytelling, one shaped by experience, honesty, and the courage to turn life’s hardest moments into something meaningful.
