A month into building our own CRM in Base44

No more forcing our workflow into someone else's software. It's built exactly how we work. Nothing extra. Nothing missing.

And the weirdest part? I understand my own business better now than I ever have. Just from the data this thing can produce.

If you're a business owner who's felt that same disconnect with off-the-shelf software, I'd be interested to hear. Happy to share notes inside the community.

Kind of wild to read your own handwriting from years ago and realize you were closer to something than you thought.

We've been super busy with Launch Kit client projects so Evan and I are a bit behind on these bad boys. This episode was from Week 9 2026 - aka February lol. We've got episodes filmed each week up until present day. Just need to get adequate time in the lab to do some editing.

Monday morning I had this thought before I even got ready for the day. For people like us, the ones who are driven and always chasing the next thing, success might not be finishing the to-do list. It might be protecting your love for doing the work in the first place.

That thought kind of set the tone for the whole week. New clients, a new team member, a production day with Wolverine Group, and a gear haul that got out of hand.
