The Kort Family opens up about the heartbreak, fear, and uncertainty they’ve faced after learning their baby was diagnosed with severe ventriculomegaly. They share the moment their world changed, the difficult conversations with doctors, and the ongoing process of determining the next steps for their baby’s care. Through it all, their love, strength, and hope shine’s through.

Sluggers Baseball has always been about more than training athletes — it’s about building people, supporting families, and standing together when it matters most. Hosting the Kort Family is a reflection of the compassion, unity, and heart that make Sluggers such a cornerstone of the Jenison community.
