ā˜”ļøSince Wednesday was a very cool and wet day, what better time to get some work done on the car? šŸš™ Our Enclave just flipped 105,000. Time for struts and sway bar stabilizer links. I buy the best when replacing these parts. For those that recognize suspension part names, donā€™t go cheap! Struts were KYB and sway bars were Moog. Unlike the original, these new links have grease fittings, plus theyā€™re way more heavy duty. Should provide a firm ride and last quite a while. Called around before hand. Most places wanted $350 for two sway bars, and another $1500+ for the struts. Parts were $425. Raked in some decent savings on this job. šŸ˜ŠšŸ’°

ā˜”ļøModerate to heavy likely this afternoon and early evening. Youā€™ll need an umbrella for this one! In fact, areas south of Grand Rapids are under a FLOOD WATCH for the possibility of 2ā€ to 4ā€ of rain. I warned of this yesterday. The second map with most of central/southern Michigan in yellow is a heavy rain potential map, itā€™s not severe. Weā€™re in a SLIGHT RISK for excessive rainfall. Thatā€™s a 2/4 on the flood map. Just sayinā€™, itā€™s gonna be very wet today. Donā€™t drive through high water! šŸ’¦ FOX 17

Just found this in my memories this morning. Probably one of the last photos taken of me and mom and dad exactly nine years ago (2017). We were celebrating Fatherā€™s Day and their 66 year anniversary. Dad would pass one month later on July 18. You can see he was looking quite frail at this point. Memories are all we have when people pass. Happier times together. šŸ˜ŠšŸ™šŸ»

HEADS UPā€¦a severe weather outbreak is likely today just south of Michigan in the red bullseye. Here in southern lower Michigan and West Michigan, strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening. Damaging winds and large hail are the main threats, with an isolated tornado or two possible south of the I-94 corridor closer to the Indiana state line. Areas along and south of Grand Rapids and I-96 are in a SLIGHT RISK (level 2/5 yellow) for severe storms. This will be the best locations for severe storms. North of Grand Rapids a MARGINAL RISK (level 1/5 green) is in place. Make sure you have a way to get watches, warnings, and advisories. 2ā€ to 3ā€ of rain will be possible with flooding concerns south of Grand Rapids as well. Please be safe. FOX 17
