These are addicting chocolate chip cookies. I bring them every time we are going somewhere. They are easy to make and with my latest change, they will turn out the exact same for you.

Recipe:
2 sticks butter
120g white sugar
215g brown sugar
8g vanilla extract
2 eggs
5g baking soda
5g salt
9g baking powder
5g cornstarch
413g flour
Chocolate chips

375* 11 min. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt right out of the oven

Cream butter and sugars. Then add vanilla and eggs, mix well. Throw in baking soda, baking powder, salt, & cornstarch. Fold in flour. Add as little or as much chocolate chips as you want!
Scoop out your desired size and put them all in a container. Put the container in the freezer for at least 2 hours but overnight is what I usually do!

Heat oven to 375*, place your frozen dough balls on a cookie sheet and bake for 11 minutes for bigger cookies, reduce time if you’re making smaller ones. No need to thaw! Straight from the freezer is the way to go! They might not look fully cooked, the outer edges should be slightly golden brown but the centers might look shiny. That’s ok! They will continue to bake on the counter. Once they are done baking, immediately sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Let them cool completely before handling.

Enjoy!!

I need this reminder daily. God’s time is always perfect. The more time I spend with Jesus the easier it is for me to be patient and wait for His timing.

Hear me out…sardines on a pizza…so good! Pair it with sun dried tomatoes, spinach, & mozzarella cheese. It was delicious!
Sardines are ridiculously good for you. I like to eat them out of the can but putting them on pizza is a new favorite.

We’ve been for a few years, the kids love it! It can turn into quite an adventure, especially when they are out in the woods. We ended up getting “sort of” getting lost. We made it out alive and enjoyed our family hike.

It’s been too long since I made pizza so we were due. I’m not sure if it’s the Wisconsin air or the amount of time since the last time eating pizza or what but my oh my it was phenomenal.

Years ago we had a Hello Fresh subscription and one meal we had was a flatbread topped with pesto, medley tomatoes, mozzarella, and balsamic glaze drizzled on top after it baked. It was so good and we use to make it all the time. Sometimes we would top it with arugula too. It was so fresh. It’s been awhile since we’ve had it so I decided to do it on a pizza dough today. I don’t think I’ll ever have pizza night without it. It has such great flavor and a great change to the traditional tomatoe sauce pizza. I didn’t have arugula today so I did fresh basil instead.

There are so many beautiful views God created for us to see but my favorite is my little family.

are always such a fun way to spend the night when traveling. We joined harvest hosts when we first started traveling in 2020, then the past few years we didn’t have the membership anymore until recently. This was our first farm this time around. SopaFairviewFarm is a perfect spot! Bart and Crystal were kind and friendly hosts. They have a great farm filled with chickens, baby lambs, a few different breeds of cows including some highlands. They also have fields of sunflowers that will bloom in August. My kids loved watching farmer Bart work his field with the tracker and they loved meeting the animals and feeding the cows. We enjoyed some farm fresh eggs for dinner and we can’t wait to try their sunflower oil!
If you’re near Amherst, Wisconsin, especially in August, you should stop at Sopa!
