You don't control every hand you're dealt. Neither do I. But we do control what we do with it.

It's okay to be pi**ed. Disappointed. Hurt. Give yourself a minute.

Just don't live there.

Eventually, you've got to look forward and ask yourself the question that matters most:

Now what?

At 50, I'm still learning, still failing, still screwing things up, and still trying to get better. The goal isn't to have a perfect past. It's to refuse to let your past decide your future.

09/08/2026

You can’t be the victim of your past and the architect of your future at the same time. You have to choose.

Lost the deal? Now what?
Realtor won’t call you back? Now what?
Didn’t get the promotion? Now what?
Someone did you wrong? Now what?

You can spend the next six months explaining why it happened…

Or you can spend the next six months deciding what happens next.

You can’t change what happened.
But you can decide what happens next.

Now what?

Your business is your fault.

That probably pi**ed you off. Good. Stay with me.

Not everything that happens to you is your fault. People will screw you. Deals fall through. Markets change. Life happens.

But what happens next is your responsibility.

Five years ago, I had to learn that the hard way. I could keep blaming the past—or take ownership of my future.

That’s when I started asking two words:

Now what?

Lost the deal? Now what?
Didn't get the promotion? Now what?
Someone did you wrong? Now what?

You can spend six months explaining what happened, or six months deciding what happens next.

Bitter looks backward. Better moves forward.

You don't control every hand you're dealt. But you control what you do with it.

I'm 50, still learning, still failing, still getting better.

And I refuse to spend my future being bitter about my past.

Now what?

That’s what this episode is about. 🎙️

25+ years in sales has taught me a lot.

About leadership.
About resilience.
About relationships.
About navigating changing markets.
And, perhaps most importantly, about the difference between simply having experience and actually putting that experience to work.

I’m incredibly grateful to Augusta Parker and MarketSpy for taking the time to tell the story behind Elevate With Enbody and the lessons that have shaped my career.

What started as lessons learned through wins, losses, setbacks, and some hard-earned perspective is becoming something much bigger: a platform built to help sales professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs grow their businesses, their brands, and themselves.

The goal has never been to have all the answers.

It’s to share what I’ve learned, challenge the way we think, and help others avoid learning every lesson the hard way.

There’s still a lot to build. And we’re just getting started.

Thank you, MarketSpy, for helping tell the story.

Being great at what you do isn’t enough.

If people don’t know you exist, they can’t call you, refer you, or recommend you.

Want to become “five miles famous”? Start showing up.

Go where the people are. Attend the event. Support the business. Have the conversation. Create the content. Give value. Make an introduction. Refer someone. Share an idea. Solve a problem.

Stop making every interaction about “What can I get out of this?”

Start becoming someone people are glad to know.

Then stay visible.

That’s how you become the person people think of—and call—when they need what you do.

09/03/2026

You don’t need everyone to know who you are.

You need the right people to know who you are.

Before you try to be known everywhere, become known somewhere.

I call it 5-mile famous.

Your "five miles" might be five blocks, 25 miles, an industry, a community, or a specific group of people.

Don’t chase attention everywhere before you’ve earned trust somewhere.

You don’t need to be internet famous.

You need to be 5-Mile Famous.

The right people knowing who you are, what you do, and trusting you enough to refer you is far more valuable than thousands of followers who barely know your name.

In Episode 100 of Elevate With Enbody, I break down how to become:

Recognized. Relevant. Referable.

Stop trying to be known everywhere before you’re known somewhere.📍

100 EPISODES. I CAN’T BELIEVE WE’RE HERE.

Tomorrow at 10 AM EDT, we’re celebrating Episode 100 of Elevate With Enbody.

When I started this channel, my goal was simple: share the lessons I’ve learned over 25+ years in mortgage sales and leadership—and bring in the people who are doing it at the highest level—to help Loan Officers and sales professionals grow their businesses and become better producers and leaders.

Over the last 100 episodes, we’ve talked about mortgage sales, leadership, recruiting, marketing, personal branding, business growth, AI, and what it really takes to stay competitive in this industry.

I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some incredible Top Producers and industry leaders, and I’m grateful to everyone who has taken the time to watch, listen, share, and be part of this journey.

100 episodes is a milestone. But I’m not slowing down.

There’s a lot more to learn. A lot more to share. And a lot more ways we can elevate together.

🎥 Episode 100 drops tomorrow at 10 AM EDT on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.

I hope you’ll join me for this one.

Thanks for being part of the journey. Here’s to the next 100.

I've started asking myself a question I don't particularly like:

Am I overwhelmed—or am I making myself overwhelmed?

Because sometimes “I have too much to do” isn't the whole truth.

Sometimes the truth is that I haven't decided what not to do.

I haven't solved this. I'm right in the middle of it.

But I'm changing how I measure my days.

Instead of asking, “How much did I work on today?”

I'm trying to ask:

“What did I finish today?”

Maybe progress isn't about doing more.

Maybe it's about deciding what matters enough to finish.

09/01/2026

You worked all day. You answered emails, checked boxes, jumped from one task to another—and by the end of it, you were exhausted.

But exhaustion isn’t proof of productivity.

Sometimes we’re not getting more done. We’re just touching more things.

I was reminded of an old lesson from a boss who told me years ago: “Being busy doesn’t mean you’re getting stuff done.”

I understood it then. I just didn’t realize how easy it would be to forget.

The real question isn’t, “How busy was I today?”

It’s: “What actually moved forward?”
