Video submissions from actors for Paint, the Movie are decent. A few overlaps that we need to shrink and decide who is in. But we still need a few principal roles filled:
• Sterling (20-25 )
• Shane (20-25)
• or a Trevor (18-22).

And a few supporting roles:
• Carlos (Spanish speaking, in paintball action, 18-25).

For one scene in the paintball store:
• Markel (18-22)
• Nero (14-16)
• Israel (15-18)

And a mom. A cool, funny mom. (38 - 42)

None of these are background, they have plenty of dialog and camera time, so looking for people who want to act.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
No Demo Reel?
1) Create an introduction video with: Name, Location, and Brief Statement of your Acting and Athletic Experience.
2) • Upload Demo reel or Introductory video to your youtube account
• Send the link of the video and your bio/resume to [email protected].
Under the age of 18?
You must have a parent submit a separate video giving you permission, with you in it, if you have a demo reel.
You must have a parent introduce themselves and give permission in your introductory video before you speak.
Actors who show potential fit for a character, will be invited to prepare a video audition.

We’ve been receiving submissions for Paint, the Movie from a wonderful group of local and willing-to-travel actors — young, energetic, and wonderfully diverse. Maybe the slower pace of submissions is a blessing; I’d probably try to cast every single talented person who showed up.

After wondering for the first couple months why responses were so slow (despite posting in many actor and filmmaking groups), I’m grateful. The Lord has blessed this project by sending the perfect people — and I couldn’t be more thankful.

After almost three weeks and searching the best place to post a call for actors -- 6 different services (4 of which I deleted my account due to lack of activity by members and/or the system had issues and tired of dealing with it [casting calls america was the worst]), plus several acting and film making facebook groups, I am getting some video submissions, and they are really good.

Still looking for the main hub of where to find actors in Sacramento and Northern California. Do I print it and post it at schools, street corners, and theaters?

It is just so weird that I had 140 people wanting to be in The Golden Tree, and more for Chardonnay that now after 3 weeks, I have a few. Where did the actors go? And those were free, Paint, the Movie is PAID. One actor fb group got 50 comments and 100 thumbs up for free background and only 20 actors needed. My post got 10 thumbs and 6 comments and nothing from those people after I said yes, please submit.

People would rather be unpaid background then on camera with lines and paid?
