CORONAVIRUS UPDATE
Both the Town of North Hempstead and Nassau County have declared a state of emergency. President Trump is expected to declare a national state of emergency at 3 p.m. today.
Per the town's release, residents are advised to avoid large groups, maintain social distancing of at least 6 ft. if they go out, and stay at home and contact a doctor if they feel unwell.

This was the scene at Middle Neck Road and Grace Avenue before 5 p.m. Apparently, another pedestrian was hit and transported to North Shore University Hospital. Due to HIPAA laws, the transporters and the hospital are unable to provide information. Does anyone know if the woman is ok?

Parakeet Found: This reader said that reminiscent of the story "The Parakeet Named Dreidel" by Isaac Bashevis Singer, on Saturday evening, April 13, a tame parakeet was found on Parkside Dr. in Great Neck. The street was canvassed but no owner was discovered. The reader would love to reunite the parakeet with its owner. Please let us know if this parakeet belongs to you.
