Many invested community members came together to watch a movie called Beyond the Bridge . The filmmakers were also present to discuss the film.
The film was followed by a panel discussion with community leaders on the front lines helping to address this economic crisis of homelessness.
I’m grateful to live in a community where so many people are doing their best to help those in need. A special thank you to ‘s, the City of Greeley, United Way Of Weld County, The Northern Colorado Continuum of Care, Northrange Behavioral Health for making this event happen, and also to the other community members, and organizations who showed up with their interest and support.
At the end of the evening, a short film made by Gii Astorga and I played for the audience.
A while back, he and I had the opportunity to film seven individuals who had previously experienced homelessness. The time spent recording them was powerful. The short film will be available to the public in the near future. Details to come.
