I spoke with an 81-year-old woman who was given a three-day notice to vacate her apartment at Bethel Towers. The notice claimed she “can’t make safe decisions,” but her family disputes that, and attorney Mike Working of The Working Law Firm told me the documents don’t show a breach of her lease.

After I requested comment, management extended her deadline to December 21.

This case highlights a larger conversation about senior housing, oversight, and the limited protections available to tenants in Tennessee.
