🚨26yr old Abdul Rasheed went to dinner at a Red Lobster in Douglasville, Georgia. When the bill came, it was $63. Instead of paying, he called 911 emergency services from inside the restaurant.

Officers arrived and determined he was not having a medical emergency and that he was trying to get out of paying.

He was arrested and charged with theft of services, unlawful conduct during a 911 call, and making a false report.

He was booked into the Douglas County Jail.

🚨30-year-old Otis Parks fatally sh*t a 58-year-old man who was handing out food to the homeless.

The victim, John Donat, was sitting in his car and offering food to people when Parks came up to the passenger side of the vehicle and demanded money.

Parks then tried to carjack him and sh*t John through the passenger-side window as he tried to drive away.

The car went through two fences after the incident. John was found suffering from a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

John was a former chef who regularly cooked food for people in need. His son Nick said his father would get food from a local food bank, cook it, and hand it out to people outside the hotel where he lived.

Nick said his father also tried to help people struggling with drug problems because John had faced similar struggles himself.

Police later identified Parks as the suspect and arrested him. He is now charged with capital murder in John's death.

Investigators also searched a nearby field with an ATF K-9 after a possible weapon was reportedly thrown there. It was not clear if the weapon was recovered.

The incident happened on Wednesday, Sept 30, outside an extended stay hotel on Highway 6 in west Houston, Texas.

John was originally from Ohio and moved to Texas about 10 years ago. His son said he was preparing to move to South Carolina to be closer to his family.

Parks also has a criminal record, including a 2018 conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

He was sentenced to seven years in prison out of a possible 20-year sentence for the 2018 aggravated assault case.

Police say Parks st@bbed his friend multiple times after discovering that his girlfriend's baby had diaper rash.

🚨37-year-old Alicia Evonne Sanchez allegedly took a child to a Texas doctor's office at least 10 times between 2019 and 2023 and allowed the child to be sexually assaulted in exchange for prescription medication.

Investigators say Sanchez stayed in the room while former doctor Kenneth Donald Haygood allegedly assaulted the child during multiple visits.

The child would cry and beg him to stop, but the abuse continued. Sanchez told the child that “this is what doctors do.”

After the visits, Haygood gave Sanchez, Adderall and other medication.

The child later told another adult and a counselor about what had been happening, leading to an investigation.

Haygood was already facing sexual assault allegations involving other victims.

He pleaded guilty to other assault charges and was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2025.

Sanchez was arrested on September 30 and charged with continuous sexual assault of a child younger than 14.
She remains in the Jail on a $3 million bond.

🚨42-year-old Chloe Jackson-Jones from Georgia adopted an 8-year-old boy in May 2019.

In 2020, she started abusing him. She isolated the boy by pulling him out of public school for virtual learning before claiming to homeschool him.

Over the next few years, she starved him and made him hold painful positions for hours while he was naked. She stomped on his ge****ls, put him in ice baths, tied his hands and ankles to chairs, and locked him in closets. She also choked him until he passed out. She took photos and videos of much of this on her phone.

On July 5, 2023, the boy, then 11, was locked in a bedroom closet. He tore through the wall with his hands, climbed out, and jumped from a second-story window to escape.

A neighbor saw him walking down the street and called 911.

When the neighbor found out he was starving, they offered to buy him food. He weighed only 61 pounds. Newnan police collected the photos and videos from Jackson-Jones's phone, which showed years of severe torture.

She pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Sept 30, to aggravated assault by strangulation, two counts of false imprisonment, and 17 counts of first-degree cruelty to children.

The judge sentenced her to 40 years in prison, followed by 20 years of probation, which matched the plea deal prosecutors had worked out.

Prosecutors said they pushed for the longest sentence the deal allowed. A regular life sentence would have let her seek parole after 30 years, which could have meant fewer guaranteed years in prison.

The plea agreement also spared the child from having to testify at trial.

He is now 14 and lives in a stable home with a new adoptive family.

He is getting straight A's in school, and he gave a powerful victim-impact statement at the sentencing hearing.

🚨21-year-old Tamya Staten pulled a handgun from her leggings and pointed it at employees at a children's clothing store after being told her child could not play with a toy car.

Tamya was at a Once Upon a Child store in Indianapolis to sell clothes when an employee noticed her child playing with a small motorized toy car. The employee told Tamya that children were not allowed to play with the store's toys.

Tamya initially said "okay," but allegedly continued letting her child play with the car.

When the employee reminded her of the policy again, Tamya became angry, pulled a large black handgun from her purse and tucked it into her leggings.

Tamya then poked an employee in the face and threatened violence, telling the employee, "We can fight about it. We can get down. I can use this (gun)."

She later pulled the handgun from her leggings and pointed it toward employees while encouraging her child to keep playing with the toy car. She reportedly even demonstrated how the toy worked before putting the gun back into her leggings.

The employee had activated a silent holdup alarm, bringing police to the store. Tamya had already left with her child by the time officers arrived.

Investigators later reviewed surveillance footage that captured the confrontation, including Tamya pointing the gun at the store employee while a small child rode a motorized car behind her. After putting the gun back into her leggings, Tamya is shown leaving the store and driving away in a Jeep Patriot.

Detectives identified Tamya using the Jeep's license plate as well as the ID she provided to employees when she brought in the clothing.

The employee Tamya pulled the gun on also identified her from a police lineup.

Tamya was charged Tuesday in court with felony charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon and pointing a fi***rm at another person.

If convicted on both counts, she faces up to eight and a half years behind bars.

🚨32-year-old Javan Curry Battle approached a 9-year-old girl inside a Miami Dollar Tree, put his face near her buttocks and appeared to sniff her. The girl was shopping with her mother for school-project materials when her mother sent her to another aisle, where police said Javan approached her, touched her arm and leaned toward her from behind. The girl told police she felt air on her lower back and immediately ran back to her mother.

The store manager later reviewed surveillance footage and called police. Officers tried to arrest Javan, but police said he pushed both officers and tried to run. He allegedly dragged one officer before being taken into custody. Both officers were treated at a hospital.

When investigators questioned Javan, police said he acknowledged putting his face near the girl but said he did not intend to hurt her. According to the arrest report, Javan said he had been using ma*****na and his brain “told him to do it.”

Javan was booked on charges of lewd and lascivious conduct on a child and resisting an officer with violence. A judge ordered him to stay away from the girl and the Dollar Tree and placed him on house arrest with GPS monitoring or an alternate $2,500 bond.

🚨58-year-old home care nurse Sarah Smalls allegedly took advantage of a 75-year-old man she was hired to care for, taking control of his finances and getting his South Carolina home transferred to herself for just $5 before he died.

Sarah was hired to care for Robert Rowland in March 2024. Robert was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and a brain injury, and according to arrest warrants. Sarah later obtained power of attorney and took control of his finances.

Sarah withdrew more than $17,000 from Robert’s accounts and repeatedly sent money to her Cash App. She also allegedly obtained the deed to his home on April 17, 2024, and had her sister notarize it.

The home was then transferred to Sarah for only $5.

Robert’s daughter, Nora, had been speaking with her father every week, but she said she began hearing from him less and less after Smalls started caring for him. When Nora traveled to South Carolina on Father’s Day 2024, Sarah told her through the Ring doorbell that her father had died three days earlier.

Nora said she later entered the home and found that it had been redecorated, with the walls painted and photographs of people she did not recognize.

She also believes her father was neglected. Nora said Robert died weighing less than 90 pounds, with medical records describing him as emaciated.

Sarah is also accused of providing false information on federal housing documents by claiming she had no assets, real estate or cash.

She was arrested Monday and charged with perjury, breach of trust and exploitation of a vulnerable adult. She was released after posting a $45,000 cash or surety bond.

🚨36yr old Dionisiah Edwards Carpeal from San Antonio, Texas, had dated her boyfriend for nearly six years. He had started ignoring her calls and texts because he had a new girlfriend.

On Monday, Sept. 28, he and his new girlfriend were walking home from a Wendy's on San Antonio's northwest side when Dionisiah began following them in her SUV and asking to talk to him.

A security guard approached the vehicle, and the ex-boyfriend told the guard she was following and harassing them. Dionisiah and the new girlfriend then exchanged derogatory remarks and began to walk away.

As the couple crossed in front of the SUV, Dionisiah accelerated and hit the new girlfriend. The woman was dragged underneath the SUV and run over by its rear tire. The ex-boyfriend was also hit, thrown onto the hood, and struck the windshield. Dionisiah drove next to the victim and then fled the scene.

Officers found a trail of tire evidence through the parking lot and blood on the pavement consistent with a person being dragged. The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died. A security guard's photo and video of the SUV helped police identify Dionisiah.

She was arrested on Tuesday and charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

She is being held in jail on a combined $400,000 bond.

🚨19-year-old Takiyah Babers is accused of leaving her 4-month-old daughter, Luna, in a black plastic bag in a dumpster in South Los Angeles.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, neighbors taking out their trash saw the bag and thought the baby was a doll.

When they realized she was a real child, they called 911. Neighbors and paramedics performed CPR, but Luna died at the hospital, and police said she had signs of physical trauma.

Luna's foster grandparents saw the news reports and became suspicious because Luna had a distinctive six-toed left foot, matching the baby's description.

Early Tuesday morning they went to Babers' apartment and asked where Luna was. Babers gave conflicting answers, first saying the baby was sleeping, then that she had given her to the biological father.

She showed them an older video as supposed proof that Luna was safe, but the family noticed that Babers was wearing different clothes in it and that Luna's car seat was still in the apartment.

The grandparents sent photos of Luna to police and local media, and witnesses at the scene confirmed her identity. Police secured the apartment as a potential crime scene, and Abused Child Unit detectives arrested Babers on suspicion of murder.

She is being held on $2 million bail. The Medical Examiner has not released an official cause or manner of death, police have not announced a motive, and investigators are still trying to locate the biological father.

🚨33yr old Alexus Chenelle Williams from Houston, Texas, hired her former high school friend Xavier Davis to k*ll her ex-girlfriend after the woman ended their affair and got back together with her husband.

Alexus wanted the entire family k*lled. She told Xavier he could keep any money he found inside their apartment.

On June 30, 2021, Xavier Davis went to the family’s Houston apartment and fatally sh*t Alexus' ex, Donyavia Lagway, her husband and their 6-year-old daughter.

The couple's 10yr old daughter was also sh*t but survived by playing dead.

After Xavier left, the 10yr old girl got up, gathered her 1yr old brother and called for help.

Xavier had thrown the baby across the room during the attack.

The couple's 8-year-old son was not home.

Xavier Davis was identified through an anonymous tip the next morning. He had carjacked someone at gunpoint for a getaway vehicle and later burned it. He was found with $3,000 in cash and bullets matching those recovered from the victims, and the gun was found at his girlfriend's apartment.

Alexus attended the family’s funeral before she was arrested months later.

Investigators spent months examining text messages and encrypted data from Alexus’ phone. They said messages between Alexus and Xavier from the day of the killings helped build the case against her.

Xavier pleaded guilty to capital murder in March and was sentenced to death in April, 2025.

Alexus was arrested 8 months after the k*llings and pleaded guilty to two counts of capital murder and one count of capital murder of a person younger than 10.

In Sept, 2026, Alexus was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

A charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was dismissed.
