🎤 Meet Our Guest: Tim Racki
Tim Racki is one of the most accomplished high school football coaches in the United States.

** 🏆 Over a 26-year head coaching career:
** 10 IHSA State Championships
** 12 state title appearances
** Career record of 226–80 (.739)
** First coach in Illinois to win state titles at two different programs
** 2024 First-ballot Illinois High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame inductee
** Mentor to NFL players like J.J. McCarthy and Julian Love

But behind the wins is a man who’s fought private battles — with depression, shame, and the feeling that he was failing at the roles that mattered most: husband, father, and human being.

Today, Tim is turning his story into purpose. As a coach, educator, and speaker, he’s committed to showing that vulnerability is strength and that mental health matters — especially for men in leadership. He’s on a mission to remind others: you are not alone.

Ever notice how we buy fancy skincare but ignore what's happening upstairs? 🧠

Mental health check-ins don't need to be complicated:

1. Morning mirror moment: Ask yourself "How am I REALLY doing?"
2. Put down the phone for 10 minutes (yes, even this one)
3. Drink water (your brain is literally begging you)
4. Tell someone when you're not okay

The wildest part? These tiny habits create massive change. We talk about this all the time on the pod because it WORKS.

Check in with your family and friends frequently - and don't forget to check in with yourself too. Your brain will thank you. https://goesoninourheads.net/

That voice telling you you're "too much" or "not enough"? Yeah, we hear it too. 🌈

Being LGBTQ+ means navigating a world that sometimes feels like it wasn't built for us. Anxiety, depression, and that fun little thing called minority stress? It's exhausting as f*ck.

But here's the thing - your resilience is goddamn beautiful. Every day you choose authenticity is a middle finger to the bulls**t.

Let's talk about it. What mental health challenges have you faced? And more importantly, what's helped you through?

Ever tried breathing through anxiety? Not just the "take a deep breath" bulls**t, but actual techniques that work?

We've been testing some wild breathing exercises lately:

• Box breathing (4-4-4-4)
• 4-7-8 technique (life-changing for sleep)
• Alternate nostril breathing (weird but works)

Our favorite? When we're losing our s**t, simply counting to 10 while breathing slowly. Basic? Yes. Effective? Also yes.

What's your go-to when anxiety hits?

No, seriously. How ARE you? Not the automated "I'm fine" we toss around like confetti. The real deal. The messy, complicated, beautiful truth.

Take a deep breath. Check in with yourself for a sec.

Sometimes naming what's swirling around in that brain of yours is the first step to feeling heard. Even if it's just you doing the hearing. ✨

So we'll ask again - how are you feeling today?

Check in with your family and friends frequently. That "How are you?" might be exactly what someone needs today. https://goesoninourheads.net/

That moment when everyone expects you to be overjoyed with your newborn, but you're feeling... nothing?

You're not broken. You're not alone. And you're definitely not a bad mom.

Those empty feelings after birth? They have a name, and recognizing them is the first step to finding yourself again.

We're unpacking the taboo topic of postpartum depression and those sneaky symptoms nobody warns you about on this week's episode.

Because sometimes the s**t in our heads needs to be said out loud. 💗
