This morning, thousands of indie podcasters woke up to the same email.

“Thank you for entering… unfortunately, your podcast was not selected this year.”

For many of us, it wasn’t just about the recognition. It was about the validation that the stories we tell, the communities we serve, and the long nights editing after our day jobs are worth celebrating.

What often goes unseen is that:🎙️ There are over 4.6 million podcasts out there.🎙️ Indie shows rarely have a production crew, marketing budget, or PR team — our episodes are our marketing.🎙️ Submitting to awards isn’t free. We invest real dollars, in addition to our time and passion, to even be considered.

So while I’m disappointed we didn’t get selected, my bigger heartbreak is for every indie creator out there who feels invisible today. Because what I know to be true is this: the work you are doing matters. The voices you amplify matter. The conversations you’re starting are changing the world.

To my fellow podcasters who got that email this morning: please don’t stop. Keep creating. Keep showing up. And maybe someday, indie voices will get more space on the big stages.

Until then, we’ll continue to prove that heart and purpose are the strongest production tools available.

Some lessons hit you like a freight train, others sneak up when you're busy making other plans 💭

The messy parts? They're actually where the magic happens. Every breakdown, breakthrough, and "what the actual f*ck" moment has shaped us.

And isn't it wild how healing isn't linear, but somehow we keep growing anyway?

Whatever chapter you're in right now - we're cheering for you. ✨

Some days I'm supermom. Other days I'm hiding in the bathroom eating chocolate while my kid bangs on the door. 🙃

Parenting with anxiety isn't on any "what to expect" lists, but here we are!

The truth? You can be both a good parent AND struggle with your mental health. One doesn't cancel out the other.

Let's normalize the messy middle where most of us actually live. ✨

That moment when grief hits you like a truck in the grocery store cereal aisle? Yeah, we've been there too.

The messy truth is grief doesn't follow rules or timelines. It just... exists. Sometimes loudly, sometimes quietly in the background.

But here's what we're learning: those broken pieces? They're slowly becoming something else. Something unexpected. Something... kinda beautiful?

Let's talk about it. Your story matters here. ❤️

Ever notice how saying "no" feels like you're committing a crime? 🚨

That little voice in your head whispering "but what if they hate me?" Yeah, we hear it too.

Truth bomb: Your mental health matters MORE than making everyone happy.

Boundaries aren't walls—they're the fence around your peace that lets you decide who gets a key.

And sometimes the most loving thing you can do is protect your energy.

What boundary have you struggled to set? Drop it below 👇

Ever notice how a problem shared feels like a problem halved? 🤔

It's not just in your head. Having people who actually GET what you're going through can be the difference between drowning and floating.

We're not meant to weather our storms alone. Finding your people—those who listen without judgment and hold space for your messy bits—that's where the real healing happens.

Who's your go-to person when life gets chaotic? The one who makes you feel less alone in your head?

Ever notice how your darkest thoughts seem a little less scary after a good laugh? 😂

That's not coincidence. Our brains literally release happy chemicals when we laugh - even when everything else feels like a dumpster fire.

We're not saying humor fixes everything (we wish!), but sharing those "omg same" moments creates connections that make the heavy stuff... well, less heavy.

What's something that made you laugh during a tough time? Drop it below - your fellow overthinkers could use the recommendation! 💭
