Ongoing investigation.
Information from Virginia State Police:
🚨
As part of the early stages of an investigation, Virginia State Police Special Agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Wytheville Field Office were sent to residence of Union High School Head Coach Travis L. Turner, 46, of Appalachia, Va., last evening (Nov. 20, 2025). This was part of the investigation, and NOT to arrest Turner. While in transit, the agents were informed that Turner was no longer at the location.

At this time, Turner has not been located.
The investigation remains ongoing.

After this year , Grundy along with Twin Valley & Hurley will all be going under consolidation 🥲 While the positives are evident , there’s generations and families built from these communities and schools.

🔥 Grundy RB Trey Taylor already 75% through a STELLAR high school career , went CRAZY! For the BIG FINALE! Or as they’ve said ,

Week in & week out , What did Trey Taylor do? Was the question for 11 weeks. It’s safe to say this Golden Wave Legend left it all out there. Emptied his pockets on the 50 yard line and gave it all he had. Trey rushed for 1753 yards & (19)! TDs 😱 WHAT A WAY TO GO OUT! 💥

Congratulations to Taylor on a great season & career , if college is the route he feels led to take , excited to see where his next home is 🏈 (📸 Grundy Athletics)
