Hunky hunk had a morning date planned for us yesterday 🥰 It began with walking the bridge. The weather was perfect, I was with my favorite person, and we were somewhere I love being....in nature! Every day is better than the last 💪🏻🙏🏻🤍

I had my 20 year high-school reunion on Saturday. I went back-and-forth for weeks on the decision to attend. For several different reasons. But, I hit up my BFF, Heather, and we went together. Just like we did for our 10 year 🥰

Regret was the driving force behind the decision to go. I didn't want to live with it if I chose not to. We got all dolled up (my precious littles were in awe of seeing me so "fancy" 😁❤️) and made our way to the venue. What I did not expect was the overwhelming anxiety I had soon after getting there. Within minutes the shakes started. My mind was racing. I had to get to the bathroom just to breathe. Heather was by my side the whole time. She candidly snapped this picture and I'm glad she did.

At this particular moment, I was hunched over crying so the tears would fall to the ground instead of down my face. Hoping that would make it less noticeable. I started this page to be completely transparent, vulnerable, and to share my experiences as well as what I learn along the way. This is real. And I can't really articulate why I was feeling the way I was. Other than the whole process being overwhelming. Trying to wear a "normal" bra to look symmetrical, dressing in a way I don't usually, seeing people I haven't seen in a long time, still healing from surgery, not living the same type of lifestyle as I once did......who knows. Probably all of these reasons. It took me about 5-10 minutes to feel all of the feelings and regain composure. I was fine after that. Even in spite of that, I'm so glad I went. And I don't have regret ❤️

I recorded this after the May 7th oncology appointment regarding the circulating tumor cell blood draw. Although these tests provide great insight, they're not telling of the whole story. You can still have cancer with a "0/negative" reading/result and it can show positive but with no detectable masses. So, then what? You have to have peace with the decisions you make and let that peace be your guide. Live well 🫶🏼❤️

This was day 13 post-op. Pain really started setting in this day. It progressively got worse. The nerve block from surgery was wearing off and those nerve endings started "waking up". As life has continued to move forward, my responsibilities have also increased. Therefore I'm using my arm more which I'm sure contributes to the pain. "I praise you in the pain" has been my go-to phrase for years when dealing with physical ailments 🙏🏻❤️ God hears our cries, can heal our suffering, and His timing is always perfect

Day 10 post-op. I don't know what the white-looking thing is in the first picture. Gauze, tissue, reflection of light? I have no idea but it's not infected.
