Hey friends!! We need your help naming this one 👀🧼

This is one of our newest hot process goat milk soaps, made with Nilla’s milk! I was thinking “The Wizard of Nilla” because… well… Nilla. It’s green. And apparently my brain went straight to soap wizard. 😂

Since this one is hot process, we cooked it to speed up the process instead of letting it do the long cold process thing. That’s why it has that rougher, chunky, handmade artisan look — and honestly, I kinda love it.

This batch is scented with peach bellini and teakwood, and somehow… SOMEHOW… it smells like a gummy bear. Not mad about it. Not even a little bit. 😂

We also used rose hip oil and sunflower oil in this batch, so we’re excited to see how it feels once it’s ready!

So let’s hear it!

Today’s adventure: mushroom foraging! 🍄🌿

Did we come home with baskets full of mushrooms? Absolutely not. 😂
We found some turkey tail and that was about it.

But honestly? Still a win.

The boys had the best time tromping through the woods, pointing out vines that looked like snakes, finding weird little nature treasures, and standing next to some MASSIVE oak trees like tiny woodland explorers.

Sometimes the best part isn’t what you bring back… it’s the mud, the laughs, the “WAIT COME LOOK AT THIS,” and getting lost in the woods right by your own house.

Gotta love nature. Even when she only gives you one mushroom and 37 spider webs to the face. 🤣

Sorry for the little hiatus, y’all!! 😅

Between work, grad school, clinicals, surviving this heat, and trying to keep the summer vacation gremlins entertained… posting kinda fell off the wagon for a minute.

BUT WE’RE BACK!! And we have new chaos to introduce. 👀

When I was in West Texas, I picked up some itty bitty eggs. 24 of them, to be exact. Got them home, put them in the incubator, and somehow we ended up with 21 baby coturnix quail!!

Y’all. They are TINY. They are fast. They are dramatic. They are basically popcorn with legs. 😂

I have always loved these little dinosaurs, and I’m so excited to finally have some here on the homestead. We even built them their own aviary because apparently we do not know how to do anything halfway around here.

So everyone welcome the newest members of the Go Sprout Go chaos! 🥚🐣

Now the important question… what should we name the quail crew?!

Introducing… Nilla’s Dragon Fire 🔥🐉🧼

Our brand new Dragon’s Blood goat milk soap is officially cut, and y’all… LOOK AT IT! JUST LOOK AT IT!!

Becka requested this one, named it, and now she has to suffer through the hardest part with the rest of us… waiting 4 weeks for it to cure. 😂

Quinn tried out a new pour technique with this batch, and I am obsessed with how it turned out.

The swirls, the colors, the drama… it understood the assignment.

Now we wait. Impatiently. Very impatiently.

IT’S ALIVE!!! 🧼🔥

We finally got the soap-making section of the barn up and running, and y’all… we are SO excited to be making soap again!

New batches are officially in the works, Q has been caught experimenting with a body butter 👀 and we had a very specific request for a Dragon’s Blood soap. And it smells INCREDIBLE!

Becka — since this one was your idea, you get naming rights! What are we calling this bad boy?! Drop your best name below! 🐉🩸

Y’ALLLLLL 😭🌱

Quinn absolutely won Father’s Day this year. I have ALWAYS wanted a greenhouse, and he surprised me with one!!

I was not expecting it to be this big 😂 It took us a minute to find the right spot, but we finally got it set up. It gets sun until about 11, partial shade through the afternoon, and the best part… my 6’2” self can stand up straight in it without folding in half like a lawn chair. 🙌

Huge shoutout to VEVOR for this awesome greenhouse, and thank you Q for the best Father’s Day gift ever. I am OBSESSED already.

Now I need y’all’s help because I have approximately 4,000 ideas and zero self-control. 😂

What should we grow in here first?

Yesterday’s garden haul! 🥒🍅🌶️

The garden is officially doing its thing and we are not mad about it! Look at those cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini coming in! 😍

Today’s mission: PICKLES! 🥒
Because apparently we grew all these cucumbers just to turn them into crunchy little jars of happiness. 😂

HELP! What is everyone else doing that actually WORKS?! 😩🦟

The mosquitoes are absolutely brutal right now. I went out to milk the goats this afternoon and became a full-on walking buffet in about 30 seconds. 😂

We’ve tried dusting the property, sprays, citronella, and avoiding being outside at certain times… but apparently these mosquitoes have formed a union and are not backing down.

What has made a REAL difference for y’all, especially around livestock, pets, and kids?
