General information
My name is Frank Moran and I currently reside in Hackettstown NJ. I opened up a small Guitar Shop in Wharton on St Patrick's Day in 2011 and recently relocated to Hackettstown almost eactly 5 years later. The name of this business is Finely Tuned Music and has been featured in the Daily Record as the 2011 Readers Poll, Best Music Store and Best Music Lessons in Morris County. We have also had feature articles in Music Inc Magazine, and Merchandise Music Review. The primary purpose for this business will be to provide instruction for all ages in the art of playing the guitar. We will also perform guitar repair and customization services, as well as selling guitars and parts and sound system rentals. I began playing guitar at the age of 10 and have been playing guitar professionally for over 30 years. It has been a long time dream of mine to open up my own store front Guitar Shop. My first guitar teacher was Tom Barth, who owned and operated a store named the “Music Box”, which was originally located in Dover. Tom Barth was a long time friend and unfortunately passed away in 2005. His longevity and respected reputation has inspired me to share the gift of music, much the same as he once did for me. As a child I could not wait for the days my father would bring me to the “Music Box” for my guitar lessons. My small, community friendly, family inspired business has done the same for others. Residents of Wharton/Mine Hill/Dover/Randolph and Jefferson as well as the surrounding area did not currently have a local place that they can go to after school or work for music lessons or accessories. Finely Tuned has become "that place" that they look forward to going to, and enjoying the process of learning to play guitar, much as I enjoyed it. My goal is to bring the art of music to local children of all ages and adults alike.
