Four years ago today, I officially opened the doors to Tha Beauty Trapp. 🖤
Some days it still doesn’t feel real.
What most people see now is a fully booked schedule, a beautiful studio, and a business that’s growing. What they didn’t see were the silent battles it took to get here.
Tha Beauty Trapp was born during one of the lowest seasons of my life. I was navigating depression, postpartum depression, single motherhood, financial stress, and trying to figure out who I was while also becoming the woman my daughters deserved to look up to.
There were days I questioned everything. Days I had to rob Peter to pay Paul just to keep this dream alive. Sleepless nights. Sacrifices. Missed moments. Time away from my kids. Countless times I wanted to give up, but something in me refused to let this dream die.
Looking back, I realize this business didn’t just build my career—it built me. & still building me.
It taught me resilience. It taught me discipline. It forced me to face myself, heal, grow, and become someone I never imagined I could be.
To every client who has ever trusted me, supported me, referred a friend, shared a post, or simply sat in my chair... thank you. You may have thought you were “just booking a wax” or “just getting your brows done,” but every appointment helped keep this dream alive. You gave me another reason to keep showing up.
I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, but I know this is only the beginning.
There is still so much I want to learn, so much I want to build, and so much room for Tha Beauty Trapp to grow. I’m ready to scale, expand, and continue creating an experience that makes every woman who walks through my doors feel confident, cared for, and seen.
Happy 4 years to my baby. 🤍
Here’s to every lesson, every setback, every win, every client, and every version of me that refused to quit.
The best is still ahead.
If you’ve been part of this journey, I’d love for you to tell me your favorite memory at Tha Beauty Trapp in the comments. Reading them would mean the world to me. 🖤
