It takes a bit of time to nail down the instagram sizing, as it is very similar but can crop, as well as pure and simple how it shows up on your own feed versus on your profile.

I personally find myself lacking in customer feedback! Often I try to remind myself to truly ask about how my clients and I interact, and making sure they have a safe space to communicate with me so both of us can be better in the future.

SMART goals … what are they? And when to use them?

We all love to daydream about our business some day. But what kind of goals can we realistically set? Of course when it comes to social media, this can be brief or lengthy, and achievable or unachievable.

To put it in simpler ideas, think about the SMART goal of making a painting of a mountain by your house.

Specific - painting a mountain by my house, in acrylic paint on canvas
Measurable - the top layer of paint drying is when it is specifically done
Achievable - I’m a painter, and I have all the materials, plus free time every few days to complete it and work on it. It’s summer, so I’ll be able to paint while looking at the mountain
Relevant - I’ve always wanted this as business front photo, so it’ll be the perfect worthwhile venture and benefit me by showing off my artwork in my studio.
Time bound - I can realistically dedicate 6 hours per week to this, and it’ll take about 20 hours. So about 3-4 weeks. I’ll say 4 weeks so I have more time and room.

So now we have a specifically laid out and achievable goal to achieve.

The same goes for your business, laying out intentional, realistic, specific goals and ones that truly benefit you is the best way to achieve social media wins.

I do SMART goals alongside each of my clients, creating goals we both see as realistic and genuinely helpful for their business.

Well, first off, let’s start with the question “do you really, truly, need a social media manager?”

Of course the answer can be obvious: you want to grow on social media, your business is ready to expand, you are passionate about your brand, etc.

Butttttt, there’s also the more complicated side: social media requires both me andddd you to be invested in your growth. You have to be ready for content meetings, to review potential posts/blogs/captions/photos, to help brainstorm ideas, and discuss a huge range of topics.
