Meet Finn đź’ś
I had photographed Finn before at a Barn Hunt event but photographing dogs and their owners is always so much better, you’ll see in the next parts…..
“I lost my heart dog, Chase, on 1.11.24. He was a beautiful blue Merle Australian Shepherd and truly the light of my life. For months after, the idea of opening my heart to another dog felt impossible.
And then came Finn.
The day I met him, I hadn’t planned on bringing home a puppy. But there he was—this sweet, polite little soul who sat quietly at my feet and looked up at me with eyes that felt like they were searching mine. When I picked him up, he gave me the gentlest kiss on the nose, and in that moment, I knew he was meant to come home with me.
As I filled out his paperwork, I noticed something that gave me chills—Finn had been born on January 11th, the very same day Chase passed away. It felt like more than coincidence. It felt like Chase had a hand in sending Finn to me. For those who don’t know, 111 is an angel number. It can symbolize new beginnings and fresh starts. And that’s exactly what I needed. We always tell Finn, “Angel brother Chase sent you to us”.
From the start, Finn has been my “do-everything” dog—always eager, always ready to try it all. I’ve never bonded so quickly with a dog; it was like we just instantly clicked.
Finn didn’t just bring me back into the dog world—he reignited my passion for it. With him, I didn’t just gain another dog. I gained a purpose, a partner, and a piece of my heart I didn’t realize was still open.”
