AYS had the opportunity to capture some amazing moments at this weekend’s "Salute the Service" softball tournament at Valley Park! Teams from multiple age divisions and counties came together to compete, show their skills, and honor those who serve.

It’s a big weekend at Valley Park in Hurricane with 27 teams playing in the “Salute the Service” softball tournament!

We followed two teams today:
11U Alpha – sitting at the top as the #1 seed
10U Copperheads – holding it down as the #2 seed

Can’t wait to see how bracket play turns out tomorrow!

Softball in southern West Virginia is red hot right now!

The Lincoln County 8-10 and Logan County 9-11 girls are battling in Clarksville, Tennessee! Both Little Leagues are representing West Virginia in the Tournament of Champions this week.

On Saturday, LCLL-WV defeated Florida and Tennessee to start tournament play. LLL-WV also defeated the returning champions of Lake View, Florida and then went on to beat Tennessee. Both leagues earned # 1 seeds after going undefeated.

Tomorrow, both of these leagues are back in action in their respective divisions! Good luck to these great West Virginia teams!
