🍩 A Sweet Gesture from a 6-Year-Old to San Benito Police Department
Sometimes, the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact.
A local 6 year old recently decided she wanted to do something special for the officers of the San Benito Police Department. Having always had positive interactions with the department, she wanted to show her appreciation in a simple but meaningful way: DONUTS 🍩
There was just one problem she really wanted to make sure the officers knew about her surprise.
Her daughter called 911 twice‼️ because she wanted to give the officers donuts. While her intentions were completely innocent and came from a place of kindness, it's important to remember that 🚨 911 IS FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY 📢 and should not be used for non-emergency requests.
Afterward, the young girl insisted on purchasing the donuts with her own money because she wanted the gift to truly come from her.
She eventually made her successful delivery to the San Benito Police Department, where her thoughtful gesture was met with plenty of appreciation.
As a thank you for her kindness, she received:
2 police patches from the Chief of Police
1 goodie bag from a lieutenant and dispatch team as well.
At only 6 years old, she may have been the one bringing the donuts, but she left behind something much bigger a reminder that kindness, appreciation, and positive relationships between children and their local police officers can start with something as simple as a box of donuts. ❤️🍩👮♂️
