Bought this proggy, fuzzed-out hard rocker from 1969 from a dude named Enzo vending next to me at the today. A little reward to myself for a week of hard work. Thank you to everybody that bought a record over the weekend. Y’all are the best!

A little late today as I’m setup at the Harrisburg down at .w.abelbanquetandevent but today is ! This week’s theme by .play.records was to pick an artist we lost in 2025.

I chose Dave Allen, original bassist of post-punk pioneers Gang of Four. His time was short with the band, as he left to start Shriekback, but the bass lines on those first two records are SO FUNKY!

Good evening, folks! I have two events this weekend, but that’s not the point of this post…

I made a subtle change. I didn’t want to make a big deal of it, because nothing has fundamentally changed. I am changing the name of the business to 𝑴𝑬𝑳𝑻𝑫𝑶𝑾𝑵 𝑹𝑬𝑪𝑶𝑹𝑫𝑺 & 𝑻𝑨𝑷𝑬𝑺. Username is staying the same; just the name is different. I needed the name to reflect what I am actually selling, so I decided to keep it simple. Here’s where you fine folks come in…

I NEED A NEW LOGO! I created this one from a photo of me and some crappy iPhone app. Incredibly generic, I admit. The most creative I get is the cardboard signs I made. I love art, but I’m pretty average at it myself…at best!

I have an idea of what I want, but I don’t want to give it away quite yet. So please MESSAGE ME if you’re interested. A local artist (preferably in the city of Harrisburg or surrounding area) and would be willing to work with me on my specific idea for a new logo. No A.I. designs, please!

I need something that can be used repeatedly in promotion for this business I’m trying to get going. Thanks for looking and DM any examples of your work you’d like me to see and your rate for creating something like this.

Make sure to come out for the Harrisburg Record Riot THIS SUNDAY 12/7/25 at the I.W. Abel Hall Banquet and Event Center just outside of the city in Steelton, PA from 10AM to 5 PM. Event page & ticket link (free GA & advance early entry available) are in the bio & Linktree!

I’ll have a crate (possibly more, if I can get them priced in time) of new stock from my personal collection which will be priced firm, but most stock will be 20% off the sticker price. Applies to records, tapes, VHS & old stock CD’s only.

New stock used CD’s will $3.00 each. Sold a lot of these over the weekend, but still a TON of great titles left! Old stock DVD’s & CD’s will be 50% off the sticker price. I still have all of the ‘friends & family’ exclusive clear vinyl, limited to 100 copies each records as well. These are also priced firm.
