Now you can do just fine without these especially with wobble adapters but these tools make my life much much easier Wobble everything 14 everything so you can get into those hard to reach spots that 38 just cant do Hope this helps bmw

I see a lot of people talk about serpentine belt failure and N series engines eating the belt, but I don’t see anyone talking about the true cause of it. Yes oil filter housings leak down, but the real cause is the belt tensioner leaning forward. Ask any professional BMW tech that you know. Now a crank guard is a nice investment but with proper inspections and maintenance, you can get to the root cause of it and catch it before it actually happens. I hope this helps!

The N54 N55 and N63 are notorious for carbon buildup, I’ve also seen it a lot on the N14 and N18 as well. This is how you clean it yourself like a pro for less than $300 in supplies! I’ve done this procedure 15-20 times on all types of engines, and with the right tools and preparation you can do it like a professional shop at home with some basic tools.
