I listened to the first program of Blues Before Sunrise and was impressed with Cushings' program. As I indicated earlier, he has access to a deeper library of blues music and resources that will allow him to really explore areas of blues music that were not available to Blues Valley. I encourage you to listen to his take on the music and its history and I believe you will find this program will continue to entertain and educate, which were my goals as the host of Blues Valley. It has been a wonderful experience for me to share as I did with you my love for this music. Blues Before Sunrise will now be your source for this important music every Saturday night, 8 pm to 1 am.

If you missed the WMRA Open House, my blues photographs will be on display at WMRA thru the rest of the month. You are invited to drop by the station during working hours and check them out. A number of them are for sale. The framed B&Ws are $100 and the two large color prints [BB and Saffire] are available for $150 each. Check payable to Greg Versen.

Also, on New Year's Eve, the station will be open for drop-bys until Midnight. Blues Valley will close house at 6:00 a.m. January 1. It has been one incredible run for me and you allowed it to happen.
