We’re conducting a new research study online! Children who are 7 and 8 years of age may be eligible to participate in a study in which we are examining children’s attention to faces and objects. Neurotypical children without vision problems are eligible to participate. Your child will see faces and objects on a screen online through Zoom. The session will take less than 30 minutes. For this study, you will need to use a computer or laptop with a we**am and a keyboard. Your child’s session will not be recorded.

Children who are 7-10 years of age may be eligible to participate in a study in which we are examining children’s responses to short videos of individuals. Your child will watch short video recordings of individuals while we video and audio record them using Zoom. The session will last about 30 minutes. For this study, you will need to use a computer or laptop with a we**am.

We have a new online study for 4- and 5-year-olds! We are examining children’s attention to animals, faces, and objects. Your child will see faces and objects on a screen while we video and audio record their responses using Zoom. For this study, you will need to use a computer or laptop with a we**am.

You will be compensated for your time.

The session will take less than 30 minutes, with your child’s part lasting no more than 10 minutes. Our colleagues at Tulane are also looking for participants for their study with 7- to 10-year-olds! Below is info about their study:

Our online study investigates how children pay attention to familiar people and objects. We ask parents and and their child to meet a meet with a researcher via video conference (e.g., Zoom)
for up to 60 minutes. Children will play a computer game and answer questions. We also ask parents to complete several online questionnaires. Families will be compensated for their time.

Your child will see faces on a screen and indicate what type of smile they see (real or pretend). They will also watch short videos of various shapes (e.g., triangles) playing games.
The session will take less than 30 minutes to complete.

We will record only verbal responses (no video) using WebEx.
