Dr. Adjoa B. Asamoah has received the prestigious Catalyst for Change Award during the 57th National Convention of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. a distinction inspired by the legacy of the Honorable Shirley Chisholm.

Presented by the Sorority’s International President and Chair of the Board of Directors, Elsie Cooke-Holmes, the award ceremony took place before thousands of sorority members, Panhellenic leaders, and community supporters during the organization’s public meeting.

Dr. Asamoah shared the moment on her LinkedIn, describing the experience as "indescribable" and expressing deep appreciation for the recognition from the very organization that helped shape her path as an advocate for racial equity and social justice.

"I do the work because I accept my life assignment to right historic wrongs and create a more racially equitable society but never for awards. Being recognized by your OWN beloved sorority is simply indescribable," she wrote.

The Catalyst for Change Award aims to recognise and celebrate the incredible individuals who are driving positive change within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The award also honours those who not only excel in pioneering world-leading innovation but also demonstrate a deep commitment to creating equal opportunities for all.
