Limited Music Group (formally Limited Records) was formed on January 18, 2003 with hopes of bringing a face of Connecticut hip-hop to a national stage. In the beginning Limited Records started off as a sublet of New York’s powerhouse Reload Entertainment. On August 5, 2003 Limited Records ventured out on its own and began signing local and national talent. The founding members while all being hip
-hop artists decided then that instead of sticking to one type of music; their interests should spread across the genres. They then went on to sign artist in Rock, Hard-Rock, Pop, and R & B. In January of 2005 Shawn “Code Red” Redd owner of Red Light Productions was brought in as a producer. In November 2007 Limited Records became Limited Music Group with its acquisition of Red Light Productions and Desktop Recordings which gave Limited Music its own umbrella for music management, production, and recording. As 2009 closed Limited Music began structuring a deal with Universal Music Distribution as their national distributor. . Limited Music Group which once started out as a local record label has grown to having offices in Hartford, New York, Chicago, Charlotte, and Los Angles representing Limited Records, Limited West and Limitless respectively. Since its inception Limited Music Group has thrived itself on quality music and building a family. With artist such as Knowledge, Skane, and Lyrikal receiving heavy industry attention and some national recognition; Limited Music hopes to continue to rise in all aspects of music. .. ..
