Lowering the cost of drugs remains one of Connecticut’s top healthcare priorities heading into the 2026 session.

In her contribution to CTHealthNews.com’s 2026 Policy Priorities series, State Rep. Nicole Klarides-Ditria highlights Public Act 25-167, a bipartisan achievement that curbs “spread pricing” by requiring fairer dealings between Prescription Benefit Managers (PBMs) and health plans.

Rep. Klarides-Ditria notes that progress often comes step by step, and this reform marks an important move toward affordable care for all.
