Here is exactly what I would do tonight if I was starting from zero 👇
No savings. No audience. No experience.
Just tonight and a laptop.
Step 1: Open Claude (free)
Type this: “Create a digital birthday card bundle for adults. Include wording for 3 variations, a color palette, and a full Canva design brief.” Full concept done in 30 seconds. Zero cost.
Step 2: Open Canva (free)
Copy Claude’s brief in. Build the card. Keep it clean, simple, and celebration worthy. Export as a PDF.
Step 3: List it for $15
Upload to Gumroad or Stan Store. $15 is an easy purchase for something ready to print.
That’s the whole concept. A simple digital product, made in one evening, that you can keep selling because birthdays never stop.
Now here’s what nobody talks about.
That path works. But it takes time to build an audience, test products, and figure out what actually sells. Most people give up before the sales start coming in.
There is another lane.
One where instead of building the product yourself, you promote an existing offer through affiliate marketing and may earn a commission when someone buys through your link.
Less guesswork about what to create. But it still takes real effort to learn how to promote it well.
That’s part of how I’ve been building things since retiring from 38 years in healthcare. No corporate marketing background, just learning as I go.
