✨ Hope After the Storm – Part 7 ✨“God Sees Your Hidden Struggles”

In Part 6, I shared how God answered my prayers and enabled me to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration—in His perfect time.
But my journey did not start there.
Between 1996 and 2001, while working as a secretary and cashier, I faced one of the most defining seasons of my life. Many of my colleagues took bold risks and went to college without full sponsorship—but I could not. I had children depending on me.
So I began to think deeply about another way… a better way to build a future for myself and my children.
I realized that if I ever wanted to study and work at the same time, I might need to go abroad—especially to the USA, a land I believed held greater opportunities. I surrendered that dream to God in prayer.
When God later opened a door for me to study at the same college where I worked, I was grateful—but deep in my heart, I still carried a bigger dream. I continued praying: “Lord, make a way for me to study in the USA.”
With no sponsor, no financial support, and many uncertainties, I spent my free time searching for universities, holding onto faith that one day God would make a way.
In 2001, that door seemed to open—I was accepted into a college in the USA.
But then… I was denied a visa.
I appealed—and was denied again.I tried once more—and again, I was denied.
The disappointment was deep.
In that painful moment, I told God, “I will wait for Your time.”
Even then, I never stopped dreaming. Many nights, I would see myself walking in the USA in my dreams. I held onto hope, even when reality said otherwise.
After completing my degree, I continued working at the university as an accountant. My children were growing—one in high school, the other joining the same university.
Life was not easy. My salary barely covered food and school expenses. Yet through it all, I held onto God’s promise—that He would never leave me.
As a family, we prayed together. We cried together. We shared our struggles together.
My children became my strength—my best friends.
I taught them to trust God, to work hard, and to stay focused on their future. We learned to be content, even when we didn’t have everything we wanted. Sometimes we ate what was available—not what we desired—but we remained grateful.
Looking back, I now understand something powerful:
📖 “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart.” (Psalm 34:18)
There were moments I felt alone…But God was closest to me in those very moments.
✨ God sees every hidden struggle.✨ He hears every silent prayer.✨ And He never forgets His promises.

Hope After the Storm – Part 6
“…Fear not, for I am with you…”(Isaiah 41:9–10 NKJV)
Getting hired by the college marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life. It was a new job in a new profession, a new environment, a new journey, and new colleagues. Everything around me felt unfamiliar, yet full of possibility. As I thought about my future, many thoughts filled my mind.
But along with hope came fear.
Yes, I had a job—but the salary was small. I wondered if it would truly be enough to sustain me and my children. I was raising them alone, and many questions troubled my heart. Would I be able to guide them safely into adulthood? When they started school, would I be able to afford good education for them? Would I manage to provide everything they needed? How would I face the many economic, parental, and spiritual challenges ahead?
One day, overwhelmed by these thoughts, I opened my Bible and my eyes fell on Isaiah 41:9–10. Those words became deeply personal to me:
“Fear not, for I am with you;Be not dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you,Yes, I will help you,I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”
From that moment, this scripture became one of the promises I held tightly in my heart. Through prayer, I claimed that promise for my life. I decided to surrender my fears to God and allow Him to lead my journey.
I embraced my new job with dedication and faithfulness. Over the next twelve years, I served diligently, being transferred from one office to another within the institution. During that time, my children also began attending the elementary school run by the college. It was a great blessing because the institution covered 60 percent of the school fees for employees’ children.
Even with that help, life was not easy. Many times my expenses were greater than my income, and I survived through credit and careful budgeting. Yet, in all those years, the Lord never abandoned me. I never went without food, and my children were cared for. God always made a way where there seemed to be none.
My main focus remained the welfare and future of my children. There were moments when life became extremely difficult, but those struggles never distracted me from my purpose. Deep inside, I also carried a dream—to further my education. However, raising two children alone without sponsorship made that dream seem impossible.
Some of my colleagues took bold steps and traveled to neighboring countries for further studies. I admired their courage, but I could not take that risk because my children depended entirely on me. Instead, I prayed and asked God to open a door for me—a door that only He could open.
And in His perfect timing, that door came.
After twelve years of working there, in 2004, the college was upgraded and became a university. Immediately, I applied for sponsorship to pursue further studies—and by God’s grace, I was granted the opportunity.
I decided to take another bold step in my life. I changed my profession once again—from an office secretary to studying Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. To me, this was more than an academic opportunity; it was the answer to years of prayer.
Looking back, I can truly say: the Lord had been so good to me.
To everyone reading my story today—whether you are a widow, a single parent, a young person trying to find direction, a couple facing hardship, or someone quietly carrying heavy burdens—please remember this:
Your storm does not define your future.
There will be moments when life feels uncertain, when fear whispers louder than faith, and when the road ahead seems impossible. But God specializes in walking with us through the impossible.
Hold on to hope. Keep praying. Keep working hard. Do not allow your present struggles to steal your vision for tomorrow. Sometimes God’s answers take time, but they always come at the right moment.
If you are in the middle of your storm today, remember this: the storm will not last forever. Behind every dark cloud, God is preparing a brighter morning. Behind every tear, He is shaping a testimony. And behind every struggle, He is writing a story of victory.
