π OPEN YOUR BIBLE TO REVELATION 18 TONIGHT.
Today the US Navy blockaded the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices surged. Global shipping routes are frozen. The IMF is revising its world economic forecast downward. Sailors, sea captains, and merchants are standing far off β watching.
John wrote this on the island of Patmos roughly 2,000 years ago:
"In one hour such great wealth has been ruined! Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off." β Revelation 18:17 (NIV)
He is describing the fall of Babylon β the great commercial empire of the last days. And the detail that stops you in your tracks is this: it happens in ONE HOUR. Not a decade. Not a war. One hour.
The ancient world knew the sea lanes were everything. Control the sea, control the wealth of nations. John saw a moment when that entire system β ships, merchants, sea captains, global trade β collapses with breathtaking speed. Those who grew rich from it stand at a distance, weeping, watching it burn.
Today, for the first time in modern history, the world's most important shipping corridor was placed under a military blockade. Global markets are reacting in real time.
We are not saying this IS Revelation 18. We are saying: read Revelation 18 tonight and tell us it doesn't feel closer than it did a year ago.
Read the whole chapter slowly. Verse 4 especially: "Come out of her, my people."
