What's happening in Kootenai County right now is an abomination.
Parents can't even trust a place of worship because no one knows who is
inside the walls, or what predators are being protected.
We have a sheriff who publicly claims human trafficking doesn't exist here,
despite the head of a local anti-trafficking organization stating he has provided Sheriff Norris with evidence and begged for action. Nothing happened.
At the same time, Sheriff Norris remains closely aligned with Paul Van Noy as abuse allegations surface, alongside a former Homeland Security agent who
specialized in human trafficking, all moving in the same circles.
The reason action is avoided is simple: when you cast a wide net for predators, you risk catching people in positions of power. And that's what they're afraid of.
