Short Ears, Big Mouths – Episode 1 is now live!

I’m excited to share that our very first episode with Dr. Migizi Sullivan (Language & Culture Division Director) is now available!

We talked about the Gide’inaan division, Ojibwe language revitalization, cultural programming, the upcoming language camp, and ways for all tribal members — near and far — to get involved.

Boozhoo everyone,

Just wanted to give everyone a quick update.

Dr. Migizi Sullivan and I are planning to record next week, either Monday or Thursday. As many of you know, he recently started a new position and has been pretty busy, so I really appreciate him making time to record with me.

If you have something you'd like me to ask Migizi, there's still time.

I also have our next guests lined up! Janet Quaderer and Cody Carley will be joining me as the Honor the Earth Powwow Committee Co-Chairs. I'd like to keep the questions focused on the Powwow Committee and their work, not Janet's role as a council member.

Questions can be about:
• Honor the Earth Powwow
• Volunteering
• Hiring
• Cultural events
• Future plans

My heart is heavy today after hearing about the tragic loss of one of our LCO high school students. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, the school, and our entire community during this difficult time.

I will be pausing podcast activity for a few days out of respect. We’ll resume when it feels right.
