Owner and Publisher Brittany Bottoms has a Bachelors of Science in Convergence Journalism from Abilene Christian University. Throughout her journey at Abilene Christian University, she had this growing dream. She wanted to own a newspaper. So, The Rockwall Times was born.

For the better part of 10 years she freelanced for another local newspaper. Even before that chapter of her life closed, Brittany decided she wanted to do this on her own terms. Write the stories she wanted to, when she wanted to and how she wanted to. The Rockwall Times is here for you, the citizens, of Rockwall. We’re here to keep you informed, up-to-date and aware of everything going on around you in this wonderful place we call home. The Rockwall Times is and will always be free to its readers.
