Family time, tomato picking!

These tomatoes will be making their way into the freezer to be sauced on a rainy(or snowy) day in the future. The plants are still full of ripening tomatoes, I will have more available in the next few days. I am expecting to pick another bushel of Romas for the Crawl happening this weekend.

Wow!! You guys showed up yesterday, THANK YOU!!

Small restock of tomatoes this morning, orange ones will continue to ripen on your counter.
The garden is not winding down yet, I enjoy the excitement and anticipation of the hide and seek of harvesting.

This season has reinforced things I have known to be true while also teaching me more than I thought it could. This Farmstand has made life feel like I can have my cake and eat it too. Giant garden is a non-negotiable for me. Coaching my daughter’s softball team is an absolute non-negotiable. I get to live the best of both worlds while maintaining a semblance of balance and keeping up by filling this stand.

I hope you enjoy what’s out there as much as I do. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be the best I can be for my family and my players!!

Theme of the season is “Beautiful Mess”. My kitchen counters are full of everything I’ve been working on this week, I am able to do just enough to keep it manageable. The popcorn will get eaten, beans will get put away, eggs will get cooked, and the jars will get filled. This has been my busiest September, I’m holding on for dear life! Farmstand got restocked tonight: more tomatoes, green beans and pumpkins are out there!
