Born and raised in the charming town of Henderson, NC, he completed his high school education at Northern Vance High School in 1991. Eager to serve his country, John enlisted in the United States Navy in 1992, embarking on a remarkable journey to shape his life. Throughout his 20 years of honorable service in the Navy, John's dedication and skills led him to various notable assignments. His early
stations included the Naval Air Station in Adak, AK, and the USS CUSHING (DD 985) in Pearl Harbor, HI, where he honed his abilities and contributed to the defense and security of the nation. Following these experiences, John served at the Navy International Program Office in Crystal City, VA, and SEAL Team EIGHT in Little Creek, VA, where he further demonstrated his commitment to excellence. Ray's military career brought him to diverse locations around the globe. He had the opportunity to visit countries such as Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Norway, Guam, Australia, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Midway. These international encounters broadened his horizons and fostered a deep appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. In 2012, John retired from the United States Navy, culminating his two decades of devoted service to the nation. He sought new avenues to contribute and expand his skill set and transitioned into the civilian sector. John's expertise found a home as a Contractor at the Navy Munition Command at Naval Station Mayport, where he spent seven years contributing to vital operations. Additionally, he served at the Personal Support Detachment at Naval Station Jacksonville for one year, supporting the needs of his fellow servicemen and women. Ray's drive for personal growth and entrepreneurial spirit led him to explore various opportunities. For the past seven years, he has leveraged his excellent interpersonal and navigational skills as a driver for Uber and Lyft, providing safe and reliable transportation to countless passengers. Additionally, on July 1, 2023, John embarked on a new chapter as an Affiliate Marketer, utilizing his expertise and network to create meaningful connections and foster successful collaborations. With a distinguished military background, a passion for service, and an enterprising mindset, John Smith continues to positively impact the world around him.
