For Immediate Release: SPEARS CARS TOUR WEST HIRES CHRIS WRIGHT AS SERIES DIRECTOR

Bakersfield, Calif. (May 27, 2025) – Continuing to build a marque series, the Spears CARS Tour West announced today the hiring of veteran motorsports leader, Chris Wright, as the new series director. Wright joins the Spears CARS Tour West after most recently leading the ARCA Series East and West for NASCAR.

“I’m very thankful for Kevin and DeLana Harvick and Tim and Lisa Huddleston for reaching out to me and wanting me to be a part of their team to help continue to build the Spears CARS Tour West brand,” said Wright. “I’m also grateful for my time at NASCAR and the France family for giving me the opportunity to help build the ARCA Series, especially on the West Coast.”

Bakersfield, Calif. (December 10, 2024) – The CARS Tour West announced today Spears Manufacturing will join the series for the 2025 season as the entitlement sponsor and will be renamed Spears CARS Tour West.

Synonymous with West Coast racing and helping build tomorrow’s champions, the Spears name has been a staple in racing since 1987 when West Coast Stock Car Hall of Famer Wayne Spears and his wife Connie founded Spears Motorsports. Since making their way on to the racing scene, Spears has been instrumental in West Coast racing from sponsoring drivers and series to having their own team.

“Today, Spears Manufacturing reaffirms our commitment to motorsports that has been such an important part of the Spears family and business for decades,” said Matt Baker, Vice President of Sales Operations for Spears Manufacturing Company. “We are proud to partner with the CARS Tour West and our friend, Kevin Harvick. Catching Up With The 2024 Spears Srl Southwest Tour Pro Late Model Champion Christian Bazen

The 2024 racing season presented a mix of challenges and successes for Christian Bazen, ultimately marking it as one of his most significant achievements. The collaborative efforts of the race shop and the racetrack faced significant challenges, yet they remained committed to support their driver throughout the season. Competing across various venues, including The LVMS Bullring, Tucson Speedway., Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway, Irwindale Speedway, The New Stockton 99 Speedway, and ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY in Roseville, California, he demonstrated remarkable versatility.

We asked Christian what this season meant to him. “Winning the 2024 Spears SRL Pro Late Model Championship validates how hard this team works, each one of them,” he said. The presence of the Title Sponsor prominently displayed on Christian's car evokes a sense of pride. “It really means so much, I have to thank Spears for all of their support.”

Christian anticipates the upcoming 2025 season with enthusiasm, eager to compete in the Pro Late Models and return to a complete racing schedule. “I’m really excited, we’re getting a new Clattenberg Racing Fabrication (Race CRF) chassis and we’re getting setup help from Linny White.” The support Christian has received and the expansion of his network reflect his character.

Throughout the season, Christian has consistently expressed his appreciation for the support he receives from others. “First I want to thank the entire Spears Family, and my Grandfather. Scott Lynch Media for the support. I want to thank my entire Family and Friends and I want to thank all the amazing fans who came out and supported us at all the different tracks. Irwindale Speedway has consistently been regarded as Christian's "Home Track." With the recent announcement of its closure, Christian eagerly anticipates the "Last Run" at Irwindale scheduled for December 21st.
