Best Grilled Chicken Breast Recipe

This grilled chicken breast is so tender and juicy,
made with a delicious chicken marinade. It's one of
our favorite easy summer dinners!

Ingredients
0% cup olive oil
0%a cup fresh lemon juice
03 cloves garlic, minced
01 teaspoon dried oregano
0% teaspoon chili powder
0%2 teaspoon salt
012 teaspoon pepper
04 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, about 2
pounds

Instructions

Combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano,
chili powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Whisk
until well combined.

Place the chicken breasts in a zip-top plastic bag
and pound them using a meat mallet or rolling pin
until they are an even thickness, about 12-inch thick.
Pour the marinade into the bag with the chicken,
seal the bag, and place it in a baking dish (in case of
leaks). Turn the bag to coat all parts of the chicken.
Place chicken in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to 2
hours.

Clean the grates of a gas or charcoal grill (or use an
indoor grillpan). Oil the grillgrates and heat the grill
to medium high (375-450 degrees F).

Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard
extra marinade. Grill chicken for 5-8 minutes per
side, until cooked through. The internal temperature
of the chicken should reach 165 degrees F. For the
best grill marks and juicy chicken, begin cooking the
chicken on a hotter part of the grill for a few minutes
and then move it to lower heat to finish cooking
through.

Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving

Notes
Serve chicken right away or refrigerate to use for
lunches, salads, pasta dishes, sandwiches, etc
throughout the week. Cooked chicken can be stored
for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.

They adjusted the racks to ensure even exposure to the sun's rays, much like one would rotate laundry to dry evenly. The intense heat and mountain air worked together to transform the fresh meat into a durable, flavorful preserve.

The process was both a science and an art, requiring patience and precision. As the days passed, the chickens slowly transformed from their original state into a dry, preserved delicacy. The villagers knew that this time-consuming process would result in meat that was not only long-lasting but also imbued with a unique taste of the mountains.

When the drying was complete, the preserved chickens were stored carefully, ready to be used throughout the year. This method of preservation was not only practical but also a cherished tradition, connecting the villagers to their ancestors and the land that sustained them.

And so, in that remote mountainous village, under the unrelenting sun, the tradition of drying chickens continued, a testament to the resourcefulness and heritage of its people.
