It is time for Part 5 of Gone Feral: The Love Story "When Cupid’s Arrow Hits: Leaving Second Life Behind for LA Nights & Real Life Magic" 🏹✨
After returning from our last trip together, Cupid’s arrow hit both of us full force in the arse! We were completely hooked... nonstop phone calls, endless texts, late-night Discord chats, and video calls every single night. We just couldn’t get enough of each other.
W made the call to say goodbye to Second Life altogether. We wanted more than digital experiences, our real lives were getting busy, and honestly? With a little in-world drama brewing, we weren’t about to let anything pixelated get in the way of what we were building. It was total deuces ✌️ to Second Life. It was time for the real deal ya feel?
Was Gunnar ready to meet my LA family and my beloved furry boys- Freddie, Bing, and Eo? I don't know but as I told him: you take on me, you take on ALL the baggage, bud! 😉
We set to work planning our next trip, except this time, Gunnar was heading out to LA.
Halloween is hands-down our favorite holiday, but sadly we had to spend it long-distance. Gunnar had his yard in Minnesota all decked out while we got into our respective (sort of) costumes. I had been dealing with a few medical concerns and was scheduled for an inpatient procedure right on Halloween day. So naturally, I went full Batgirl onesie mode -- cozy bat lounger, orange pumpkin slippers, and full face makeup 🦇🎃.
My daughter came along to support me and brought the absolute best support gift ever: a pumpkin shaped suspiciously like a butt. (I was having a colonoscopy... see what she did there? 😂). Safe to say the doctor found that hilarious with the butt pumpkin surprise, and the procedure went smoothly without a hitch!
By November, the countdown was on. Gunnar was scheduled to arrive right around his birthday. Everyone in LA was so excited to meet him ... and my furbabies? well, they had no idea what was coming! My sweet boy Eo had just started hospice care for cancer, so it meant the absolute world to me that Gunnar would get to meet and hold him in person while he was still well enough 🐾❤️.
Then, the big day arrived! My son and I went to LAX to pick him up. We sat right at the gate waiting, and then... there he was.
I literally leaped into his arms right there on the escalator. After a sweet reunion kiss, we headed down the steps... the official start to a wild, fun, and unforgettable time in Los Angeles, complete with a few unexpected surprises right around the corner!
To be continued...
How did the rest of the trip go? What did LA have in store for Gunnar? Can a "Mr. Minnesota Nice" handle the West Coast hustle... and will he ever be the same? 🌴✨
Stay tuned for more and always
