🐔 The audacity is giving main character energy and nobody cast you.
You joined the group/page.
You asked people to follow you.
They did.
And then… nothing.
You don't engage. You don't comment. You don't share. You don't show up for the people who showed up for you. You just sit there... lurking like a hen on an empty nest, waiting for eggs that aren't coming because you haven't done a single thing to make them happen.
And then, ok... and THEN.... you wonder why your numbers aren't growing. 👀
Baby. Sweetheart. Little chickadee.
Support is not a vending machine. You don't put one "follow me" post in and get a community out. That's not how any of this works.
The people actually growing? They're in the comments. They're sharing other people's stuff. They're showing up consistently even when nobody's watching. They're building something... not just asking for something.
So no. I don't feel bad for the account sitting at 200 followers after a year of doing absolutely nothing but expecting everything.
The barnyard does not owe you an audience. 🐓
Go. Be. Active.
Or stay on your fence post. Your choice. We'll be over here actually doing the thing. 😂

Found this poor little one in the greenhouse all curled up next to the hag stones as if they wanted me to find them.

They will go with the collection of little passed away creatures on the altar to be appreciated for a while.

🐓🪣 THE COOP AUDIT IS COMPLETE. 🪣🐓

Henrietta and Mabel spent all morning with a clipboard, a cup of coffee that was definitely not decaf, and absolutely zero patience.
They made the list. They checked it twice. They found out who was naughty and who was nice ... and honey, "naughty" in this coop means you followed us and then just… stood there. Silent. Like a decorative garden statue that doesn't even lay eggs. OR even worse... we followed you and you left us hanging like a one sided high five in mid air.
🐔 We cleaned the coop today.
If you got booted... no hard feelings. You probably just followed us by accident, forgot we existed, or your algorithm buried us so deep you haven't seen us since 2022. We get it. Life is feral out here.
BUT.
We are not a collection. We are a COMMUNITY. We don't want followers... we want flock members. The ones who drop a like, slap a comment, share our stuff with their weird homestead friends, and actually SHOW UP.
We like engagers. We like supporters. We like people who occasionally lose their minds in our comments section because a chicken did something unhinged. 🐓
If we unfollowed you by mistake... just say the word. We will gladly follow you back, no questions asked, no grudges held, no eggs withheld.
But if you were just collecting pages or followers for your own page like it's a hobby?
