Introducing Patrick Kelly and his new song Southport Town! Recorded here at Red Radio Productions!

I've talked about it for a couple of weeks now, but I'm excited to finally announce the official release of my single "Southport Town".

I've been a songwriter/musician for most of my life. And while writing songs is one of my earliest memories, I didn't really get serious about it until I was about 15 or so.

And do you want to hear something funny? I'm not even a huge country music fan. In fact, if you would have told me just a couple of years ago that my first song release would be a country song, I would have told you that you were nuts.

And yet....here we are.

I've classified this song as a love song, that's also a drinking song, that happens to be a true story.

An homage to Buffett, Chesney, Paisley, and the like...the song details one of the most incredible days of my life.

Spending New Year's Day with an incredible woman, in an incredible place, standing in the ocean for the first time, and realizing how small I really am.

Thanks to Shannon for believing in me and for being my muse, and biggest fan. Thanks to Kelly, Bo, Lou, and the family and friends who have always loved and supported me.

I hope this song gives you hope, and makes you smile and tap your toes.

As a reminder, a portion of any proceeds I make from this song will go to coastal restoration and preservation in Brunswick county and beyond.

And finally, a very special thanks to my new friend and collaborator, Tate Phillips at Red Radio Productions. Not only did he do a masterful job producing and engineering this track, but his arrangement made this song so much bigger than it was when I brought it to him. I look forward to making more magic with you my friend. Thank you.
